Saw a lot of sports reporters and fans going in awe of Rohits success rate as T20 captain and the fact that India was constantly playing its bench strength in T20s, resting senior players, giving the captaincy to Pant and Pandya.

But I had a feeling come the ICC tournaments, India would be confused about its ideal playing eleven because they had tried so many new players.

Their selections and bowling combinations in this Asia Cup have been very scatter gun and confused.

Pant vs DK.

Drop Bishnoi who bowled well for Ashwin but picked Chahal who struggled

Picking Hooda but not giving him a bowl

Sticking with Bhuvi in the penultimate overs ahead of Arshdeep when the later had out bowled him.

Not picking Shami knowing full well Bhumrah was not available

I think India needs to stop showing off to the rest of the world about the number of players at its disposal in its cricketing system and actually do things properly like the rest of the world does ie play a settled eleven and select a settled squad of 15 and allow them some time to adjust to their roles in the team. Too much chopping, changing puts players out of their rhythm, creates in security in the players and confuses the think tank about their tactics, game plans etc.

Also surely the IPL for its cricketing quality and excellence can give India a better opener than K L Rahul. The guy is a mental Midget and a bottler at the international level, only good for scoring soft runs.
