This Khusdil Shah, Danish Aziz, Azam Khan have no future. Need to get rid of these players ASAP.

Another poor showing by our selected middle order for the world cup

Yasir Shah might be a safer option in the WC instead of Shadab or Zahid Mahmood

Pakistan's tullaybaaz fail.

Can't believe Rameez forced the CS to select these so called impact players.

If no changes are made we are on for a horrible outing.

Omg imagine Azam,Khushdil, Maqsood playing WC. This will haunt Pakistan big time . It's time to get rid of these 3 from squad along with asif

As can be seen by everyone in these matches why everyone was so annoyed after the squad announcement. Sohaib, Khushdil and Azam are making sure that everyone can be a selector in this country because everybody was so sure that they are useless  at least show some responsibility you're selected for the World T20.

arrey wah bhai wah moin bhai, ap ka larka toh magician hai, itni haath ki safai hai k hum us ka talent pakar hi nhin pa rahay, wah re wah.

aur chief selector ji ap apni ankhain ghalti se bhi donate na karna... mashallah kya umda middle order rakha hai, bhai kamal hi kr dia.

Southern Punjab seem to be behaving like Shadab Khan in terms of misuse of power

Why are they constantly hiding Khushdil and Azam Khan (Pakistan selected players) in favour of non regular middle order bats like Randhawa and Hassan Khan? Something very suspicious about this, and the PCB needs to intervene and take control.

Would you see Eoin Morgan and Stokes hide behind David Willey or Tom Curran?

Because, khushdil and azam have been on fire as of late, and coach wants to give other kids a fair chance in the middle.

On a serious note, i have been watching M Ilyas for the past few games and this guy honestly doesnt deserve to be in the squad, I would put nepoistic azam before him as atleast the kid is trying. Ilyas is a horrible fielder, averave bowler, and his batting for a tailender is horrible too. He has zero game awareness; today, your team has 5 overs left to play 89-8, just nudge around, bat out as deep, but nope, blind ugly hoik to the fielder in the circle.

Really poor innings from SP.

There is something in the wicket and 150-60 could have been handy however, they threw away wickets pretty luxuriously.

Forced? Azam Khan was playing for Pakistan way before RR came in…blame the selector for picking his mates kid.

Bangalzai has a decent shot range, but very poor strike rotation and temperament is a problem.

There are lots of good bowlers playing domestics but we keep selecting Haris Rauf and Faheem, although with later due to his batting, but his batting has been flop show in limited over cricket. Aamer Yamin, Umaid l,Wahab and Ammad could do more with bat.

Yes but, in the last 5-6 matches he has possible looked a little level above CPL and National T20. He has bowled like a established T20 bowlers when he himself is yet to play a T20I.

Also its not just about wickets rather the way he has taken them quite a few of them where he outplayed the batter rather than them playing poor shot on a poor ball.

That Fakhar’s dismissal delivery was borderline unplayable and got Imam with a good one today.

So personally more than the wickets and run what I see is that how the player is getting them. How much control he has and how he handles himself when he gets under pressure. Wickets aside, Naseem has shown improvement. Has been consistently high in pace, developed changeups, rhythm is as good as when I saw him in his debut season of QAE (not to forget he had to change his action to more side arm due to injuries).

Obviously there is no guarantee how he will fair against top 3 batting lineups of the world but, then one can never be sure about any player in that regard. All of our best players have been hot and cold against those teams.

Without a doubt he is bowling well. Will be very interesting to see him against Babar Azam’s side. That should be a slight indication of where he currently stands in terms of whether he can be drafted in on a sudden basis for the T20 world cup

Majority of the upcoming young Pakistani cricketers, seriously lack the game awareness.

I think PCB needs to work on this aspect.

Absolutely, CP has some solid batsmen especially class of Babar Azam which will be really good benchmark to judge against.

The way he has been bowling selectors might be looking closely but, I personally wont mind if he is not selected and plays 4-6 matches of QAE this season before BD tour. Despite Naseem bowling as well as any, we have decent amount of pace bowling options for World T20. Though not many who are good with the new ball. So irrespective of whether he is selected or not its just good to see a young pacer improving his skillset..

Faisal has bowled pretty well in all 3 matches showing as much control as some or the more established wrist spinners we have but, has been a bit unlucky as any other week he could have has 4-6 wickets rather than 1.

An all-round effort helped Balochistan record their first win in the National T20 (2021-22) at the Pindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi on Sunday evening as ATF Southern Punjab suffered their third consecutive defeat in the premier T20 tournament.

Opener Abdul Wahid Bangalzai anchored Balochistan’s 102-run chase which was made possible by an outstanding bowling and fielding effort aided by some poor shot selection by Southern Punjab batters in the first-half of the match.

The right-hander who represented Pakistan in the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup last year scored an unbeaten 58 off 55 balls (five fours, one six) as Balochistan overhauled the target with 16 balls to spare.

Bangalzai added 57 runs for the second-wicket with wicketkeeper-batsman Bismillah Khan who contributed 28 off 29 balls (two fours).

Naseem Shah, Khushdil Shah and Hassan Khan took a wicket apiece for Southern Punjab who now have all the work to do in the remainder of the tournament.

Earlier, Balochistan skipper Imam-ul-Haq asked Southern Punjab to bat first after winning the toss. Southern Punjab lost opener Zain Abbas (0) to Khurram Shahzad in the opening over.

Captain Sohaib Maqsood and Zeeshan Ashraf added 45 runs for the second-wicket, Sohaib who top-scored for his side with 24 fell to Amad Butt. Zeeshan fell to Yasir Shah soon after for 18.

Southern Punjab kept losing wickets at regular intervals as Balochistan bowlers and fielders took charge of the match. Bismillah also took two outstanding catches behind the stumps. The Southern Punjab middle-order of Khushdil (6), Azam Khan (1) and Hassan (19) failed to impress.

The side folded for the lowest score of the ongoing National T20 tournament with 13 balls of their 20 overs left unused.

Amad Butt (player of the match) took three wickets for 11 while Yasir took three for 19. Umaid took two wickets for 14 runs, Kashif Bhatti and Khurram took a wicket apiece for Balochistan.

Scores in Brief:

Balochistan beat ATF Southern Punjab by seven wickets

ATF Southern Punjab 101 all out, 17.5 overs (Sohaib Maqsood 24, Hassan Khan 19; Amad Butt 3-11, Yasir Shah 3-19, Umaid Asif 2-14)

Balochistan 102-3, 17.2 overs (Abdul Wahid Bangalzai 58 not out, Bismillah Khan 28; Naseem Shah 1-10)

Player of the match: Amad Butt
