I heard that Muhmudulla is injured and out of the squad? Who is replacing him? He usually does well in ICC tournament. Sucks for you guys

If he goes then i don't think Ban have a chance at reaching the final. He's one of their best batsmen.

Still few weeks left - they'll definitely take him to UK, if he is to miss out, it's not before 25th May. His replacement will be Mithun in playing XI, and probably Afif or Anamul in squad.

Not sure if I recall Afif but I do remember Anamul, guy was super inconsistent and had terrible feet movement. That Mithun guy seems to be coming along well.

Bangladesh’s former coach Gordon Greenidge is visiting the country to promote a golf tournament and even as his tour was about golf, he was inevitably asked about Bangladesh cricket and the Tigers’ chances at the upcoming World Cup in England.

Greenidge, who coached Bangladesh through the ICC Trophy in 1997 -- a campaign which ensured qualification for their first-ever World Cup – was of the opinion that the Tigers are a team that can upset any team at the tournament since there are no big favourites at the upcoming World Cup.

“Ofcourse I hope Bangladesh does well. It could at this stage be anyone’s game. There are no dominant favourite that I would say are grand favourites to win the tournament. If Bangladesh play well, they could upset a lot of teams.

He however warned that consistency would be key in England and compared the team to the likes of West Indies and Pakistan. “Bangladesh are like the West Indies and Pakistan. They play grand cricket one day and another day not so good cricket. So hopefully they will be consistent through the whole tournament,” he said.

“The format this year is a little different than other years and there is a lot of cricket to be played. I think the team that is most stable or consistent will do well.,” he added.

He had hopes that the World Cup will entertain and competitiveness. He wanted Bangladesh to do well and reiterated that the tournament can be anyone’s to win.

“I would like to see a more balanced tournament where each team is fighting to gain that extra point. As a spectator, you want to see entertaining games and I hope the players do provide that for everybody coming to watch.

“I would like to see Bangladesh do well. I have always looked out for Bangladesh even when I wasn’t here. As I said, there are no clear-cut team that I think can win the World Cup.

I made 14 correct - subject to fitness, Taskin should make it 15 out of 15.
