the pitches in this tri nation series is worse than we have in uae absolutely rubbish

Don't underestimate your opponents. Too many BD fans were anticipating an easy stroll to victory in this tournament. Zimbabwe are always capable of a surprise in Asian conditions.

Pitch is quite difficult for batting. Current score is already above par. I don't see these Zimbabwe team scoring above 150 against our bowling attack.

Zimbabwe will lose this match by 50 runs at least. I don't think they have the batters to handle our bowlers.

Having said that, we should've batted better than how we've batted today.

trust me it will not be 9-0 like SA series:amir2
Haha, let's wait and see then.

But yes, a reality check for some of the Bangladeshi fans. A terrible batting display against a rubbish bowling attack. Our whole team is too much dependent on shakib, Tamim and mushfiqur. Rest of the team is filled with passengers.

new players are not stepping up for bd which is alarming

UAE pitches are dead. They neither helps bowlers nor batsmen. Bangldesh scored 320 with ease against Lankans and chased down Zimbos total easily in their 2nd match.Only this ODI pitch has been favoring the bowlers. But that is part of cricket.

ball is keeping low and some time does not rise above knee roll which is happening in almost every match

Why r u trying to mask the truth bud? Bangladesh has been doctoring the pitch for last 3/4 years to win tests and lois against non Asian team.

In Bangladesh shakib is our main bowler, but the very same shakib averages close to 60 outside doctored pitches of mirpur and ctg. Same can be said about fizz and rest of the Bangladeshi bowlers. We r still a minnow level team without doctored pitches.

Can u say which country don't make doctored pitch to suit themselves? Even no 1/2 test teams like India does it regularly. That's why in modern day cricket I don't see any international team doing well in consistent basis in abroad. Here in my post I just compared the pitches of UAE with that of Mirpur. If doing well in home condition is the criteria of being minnow then 8 out of 10 test playing countries will fall in this category.

I ain't saying that other countries don't do it. Obviously, every host tries its best to prepare pitches to suit their own players. It's specially true in case of test cricket.

But everything should have a limit. We've taken the pitch doctoring to a whole new level. Other countries usually prepare batting friendly placid wickets for ODIs. But we've become so much dependent on doctored wickets in order to get success that we don't hesitate to dish out 5th day wicket to the oppositiond even in Lois these days.

For those who think Mashrafee is finished, he is far better than most of our bowlers. He is wicket taker plus economic

He bowls wicket to wicket.

If only he was fit, He would have been a great

Can't believe how poorly we batted.

I know pitch is sluggish but 150-3 to 219?

Have you not following the Ind vs RSA match? India supposedly has the best batting lineup yet they can't seem to hold a bat in RSA.

Same goes for PAK, who was number one test team not so long ago. Yet, can't seem to hold a bat in NZ conditions.

These days, it's about how dominant you are at home. Anything win away is a bonus.

Nonetheless, I agree with you that India and BD takes pitch doctoring to a new level lol.

He is finished and should've been dropped from the team a long ago. He's looking decent in this series because any bowler would look decent against this hopeless Zimbabwe and Lankan bunch.

Let him play against a half decent team and mashrafe will get thrashed around for fun. His presence in the team isn't allowing us to experiment with a new captain and we r likely to go into the 2019 world cup under leadership of a captain Like mashrafe who isn't even fit enough to play even for a club level team.

Good bowling from BD.

Taylor needs to show why ZCB paid all that money to get him back, has been in poor form since his comeback.

No offence to our oppositions but we are not going to learn much by playing against them on a spin friendly wicket. I'd rather we have a greenish pitch or atleast a flat one.

Infact, we would learn a lot more playing against Zimbabwe in Zimbabwe. I hope we tour them. We toured Ireland and expected resistance but it was not to be, hope we have a competitive series in Zimbabwe this year.

Probably 3rd MoM for Shakib in a row & 3rd bonus point.

Wicket is disappointing today, but expected when you play whole tournament in one venue and games at alternate day. It’s actually not good for us - the gap with other 2 sides is so much that on good, true 300+ wickets, we should win every game by 100+ margin or inside 35 overs; this type of wicket actually making the game closer & risky for us.

Congrats Tamim for being first Bangladeshi to achieve 6000 ODI runs and breaking record of making most runs in a single venue.

Zimbabwe produces slow, low, spin-friendly wickets too.

Congrats Bangladesh
