Bangladesh post lowest Test total in 44 years [Update #20]

49 seems like many miles away at the moment..

2010? Misbah played at lords?

Someone delete this stat its fake

11 times out of 17, looking at that chart, since 2K i.e. not all of it is due to Misbah.

Dropping ancient history and confining ourselves to the last 25 years and to teams that lost matches, we have:

In the worst 50 (excluding the forfeit), we have NZ (4), SL (5), India (3), Aus (4), Pakistan (9), Eng (5), SA (3), Bang (6), Zimb (6) and WI (5).

I will let you draw your own conclusions from the above numbers.

BD never got out under 100!!!! Surprise to me.

This list is only for Pakistan.

Bangladesh has been dismissed for less than a hundred 8 times - with their lowest score by 67 vs SL in 2007

If it is any consolation, Bangladesh has never been dismissed for less than 60, and it lowest score of 62 is the 18th lowest.

WOW. After going so much improvement in the last couple of years to now getting battered by WI. Amazing sport this cricket.

No new talents come through. They still rely on the guys who made Test debut more than 10 years ago.

I wonder how much they would have scored if Liton Das wasn't playing.

Bangladesh - “damn, we’re going to be stuck with this embarrassment for decades to come”.

India - “here, hold my beer”.

Well England got 50 something score quite recently in NZ. Though not 36 level..but still such low scores might be more of a possibility with flawed techniques all around and better understanding of these frailties among the bowlers. If the bowling is switched on who knows. Today for example the Indian batsman got hardly anything full or short. Everything was on target.

With pathetic batting techniques these days, I won't be surprised if we see more under 50 all outs in upcoming decade.

2 good spinners on 4th/5th day and 2 pacers like Broad/Hazelwood in testing conditions can be lethal.

I got a feeling this thread will be bumped a lot until 2030 :yk

My God, we're worse than Bangladesh today.
