By watching amir's spell i noticed that if the ball looked slower with naked eye it had more pace a/c to Bangladeshi speed gun and if it looked faster it had less pace..

This may be something wrong! In the 2nd or 3rd game of Amir, his slower deliveries were in the 120s while today his normal deliveries were in the 120s lol!

But yeah good batsman decent fielder and top class captain. He and Mashrafe are quality captains unlike Mushfiq Shakib and Tamim our 3 star players

With pakistan domestic T20 speed gun majority of us agreed that the recorded speeds are 5 or 8 kph less than the actual speeds.

So simple whatever the speed is showing add 5 or 8 kph to know the actual speed of the ball.

But

In BPL now some corruption on this matter is going on in my view which can be totally wrong.

Either there is no speed gun or it has got lost or isn't working. Since day 4 ,5 and day 6 of BPL.

There is some person sitting and predicting the speeds of ball that are showing up on screen.

A recorded speed is either correct or slower than actual or faster than actual. Or a rare ball having unusual speed recording.

But there cannot be a speed gun dysfunction where the slower bowls are shown to have more pace than seam up deliveries. This has been the case with these speed guns since last 3 days of BPL.

There is some person sitting and predicting speeds which are shown on the screen.

I don't think Sami will bowl 125 128 seam up pace eveb after 2 years of his retirement. He is always bowling 85+mph.

I DON'T TRUST THESE SPEEDS BEING SHOWN.

I know I am accusing BPL administration and broadcast team without any proof and it's not good to accuse without any proof. But this is what I feel.

It's not a case of Sami or Amir. Even with other bowlers it's same.
[MENTION=52440]Pakcricket89[/MENTION] yes you are right Amir seems to have shortened his runup and isn't bowling with the previous rhythm and isn't bowling with his previous speeds of 5 years ago. But don't trust these speed recordings and Amir still is bowling well and looks far better than all our current international pacers. And he will be effective still if not 100 % like past than eveb 70 to 75 %.

Why ?

Because of his swing and most importantly his

" BRAIN "
