I think he is letting fawad bowl a lot this game because if he didn't he would be called a defensive captain and such. If he started bowling then he would have to take fawad off and would have gotten criticism.

Afridi has for quite some time now proved himself to be a bowler capable of playing occasional cameos with the bat. He should be considered this way now.

Ashraful has been quite sedate, but the worrying signs are that he is still at the crease. With him on the crease Bangladesh has an outside chance of coming back or getting close
 
Fawad Alam has been pretty ordinary, especially the way he has been dragging the bowl down. Didn't do much in the batting department too.

I would say Bangladesh are still favourites while he is there

i think he's batting in the wrong position ..

i'd like to see him up the order ...

preferably replacing YK at 3.

To replace a senior, established batsman you go to perform out of your skin AT THE POSITIONS YOU GET A CHANCE AT. At this point of time he has done nothing to suggest his claim at one down spot.

Slow or not, you have to give it to him for sticking around so long. He deserves a fifty.
 
Surprising how ordinary gul and tanveer have been against Bangladesh. Hopefully its just because they are transitioning from T20 to ODI.

Not so for Afridi, our best ODI bowler.

Give him more then 3 slog - overs a match and if he doesn't perform then, then we have the right to criticize him. If all he gets is one or two overs in which he has to slog, i don't think that he will give us a fifty.

he's averaging 65 with a strike rate over 100 .. if that isn't "performing out of ur skin" ...

His avg is only because he went not out 5 of the 6 times he played ;-)
 
gul is always better with the older ball ..

wahab should take the new ball and gul should be first change and death bowler.

he hasn't dropped any "catches" but he's failing to collect normal deliveries way too often.
 
btw. Its not about averages... His averages are because of the not outs.. Let him score in a few innings.. then you can talk about him. ATM he at most is as skillfull as a tail ender.

The cricketing world really needed a new, exciting bowler, and Wahab maybe talked about a lot now...of course he'll have to show up against India first.

he bowled that at quite an extreme angle .. very difficult for the batsmen to deal with.
 
This is pathetic cricket from Ashraful, instead of going for a win he and his team mates are treating it as a net session. Dispicable tactics and very unsportsmen like.
