Bangladesh vs Pakistan | 3rd ODI | Dhaka | 22nd April | Pakistan Innings

How can you screw the game so bad. Serious dearth of finishers in this team. I would blame the selectors for selecting a team without brains

No matter what position he bats if he can't hit sixes, he's not a batsman. Take a look at all number 4 batsmen today and all of them can hit sixes. Fawad bats like he's in the 70s
 
What I learned from Harris sohail
And fawad alam dismissals is that both just want to hit it hard as possible no placement or timing. Come on left handers it's all about that class, placement and timing.
 
Fawad must be the most overrated and useless player ever. Can't bat anywhere in the order for various different reasons. Can't time, score runs, hit boundaries. Can't even put away full tosses :facepalm: Really shows how bad Pakistan's domestic cricket is. The top scorer is a batsman with shocking technique, who can't by runs at international level. Time to drop him for proper batsman.
 
Rizwan, Shafiq and Fawad should be replace by Maqsood, Shehzad and Akmal.
 
Our batting order is out if sorts.

Hafeez and, sorry to say, Fawad need to go, as well as Ajmal, Babar, Sarfraz and Gohar should be in.

Sarfaraz drop is hurting now more than ever...They play Hafeez and Fawad instead. If Hafeez fails with the ball too he should be dropped permanently
 
We have all the types of batsmen needed to create not one, but two quality ODI lineups. It is just a question of putting squares in square shaped holes.
 
I think this sums up the problem with Pakistan's batting. At one time they were 200/2, looking like they would cross the 300 mark comfortably, and now this.

Serious dearth of good finishers. I hope Wahab can come good with a quick fifty here.

He can't bat at three because his inability to play pace, nd we have better options at four.

The argument that Fawad rotates the strike is now invalid because the fact is that he's been brutally found out, and even the Bangladeshi bowlers know how to bog him down easily.

In ODI cricket the no 3 or 4 should also be able to hit big, or at least keep the scoreboard moving. What if they don't get in until the 40th over like today?

Wahab averages near 30 this year. He could give a good finish but needs support from Saad on the other end

He should not have gone for it- but he was done by the slightly slower ball and it was a power play, and it was pitched up.
He did hit a couple of 6s before his 50 too.
It was a good middle overs innings for me, but he should have gone on, absolutely.
Still do not think it is selfish.
There is no middle ground with supporters. Misbah (200 innings) blocks from ball one, we have issues. Umar Akmal (100 innings) slogs brainlessly before he is in, we have issues. Afridi (400 innings) slogs from ball one, we have issues. A guy consistently keeps making 40 (50) without looking troubled (19 innings) and we want to drop him and call him selfish.
NOBODY IS SAYING THAT HE IS THE FINISHED ARTICLE BTW. AND IF WE WANT TO DROP HIM AFTER THAT SHOT, YOU WILL HAVE A DIFFERENT TOP 6 EVERY OTHER WEEK

Just goes to show how bad our domestic system is if Fawad is the top scorer.

Sometimes you need to drop players for being selfish.

He's 30 years of age...Not as consistent at all as Misbah. Misbah used to bat at 5-6 in 2007-2008 and he used to smash the hell out of the opposition.

Shehzads 50 would come after 80 deliveries, he would have more chance of getting to 100 off 120 than Haris at the moment but how then we would have 8 sub 15 scores to follow
 
PAK 243/7 - 4 overs left... what a pathetic collapse this has been!
 
Nasim been impressive in this situation. But needs to work hard on power hitting.

Need to bring back U.Akmal, Maqsood, Hammad and bring in Ali Khan.

As though new Aussies, SA and Indians don't have brain farts...

I'll take his 50s and believe in him to improve than the fools who get 5 and get out. Like the Shafiqs, Umars, Amins, Malik's, et al.
 
Hit straight to fielder and starts running and stopped in the middle.
