Nasir will be the back bone of BD team in upcoming years this guy got lot of talent.

SL still got chance with remaining 2 balls of malinga

Lasith Maaalinga gets the wikat :ranjit Fernando

This guy needs to last two of malinga's balls

17 needed in 12 balls game still on BD only hope is Nasir now he need to keep the strike

24.6
Malinga to Ziaur Rahman, OUT, caught at extra cover!
Ziaur Rahman c NLTC Perera b Malinga 0 (2b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0.00
Last ball of the over, can he take out another one...?

I thought Razzaq can bat better thn Sohaq why they sent Sohag thn?

He should have sent it more high so he can come and catch it!

Nervous but fantastic result in the end for BD.

Well played Nasir :14:

Congrats Executioner :)

Good win for BD :)
This will shorten the gulf between us and SL in the ODI rankings too, thanks Bangladesh :D

time to dance!! Our last 3 ODI series: brilliance in Asia Cup, beat WI 3-2 without shakib and ofcourse, drew the series against the loins!

very happy for Bangla boys!!! extremely good innings by Nasir Hossain, well done Bangladesh, beautiful!!!

Well done Bangla but D/L screwed up SL majorly here. Went from around a 70-30 advantage to SL to a 70-30 advantage to Bangla, without even a ball being bowled or a run being scored.

Seriously how can a chase of 303 off 50 overs (run rate required of 6.06) be similar to a chase of just 183 from 27 overs (run rate required of 6.78) with all 10 wickets to play with?? Makes no sense at all. The target should have been around 200. D/L completely shut SL out of the game after resumption.

Yes! 1-1 in Sri Lanka with no Shakib, no Tamim, no Mashrafe and all our first XI pacers out injured, I believe we had like 4 first XI players out, happy with the result.

SL losing 9 wickets and Bangla losing only one have helped.

and IPL indias Test batting murali viijaey

4 days FC cricket in India, Ranji, is still encouraged a lot and players get paid very decently as well. I am not sure how much do Bangla players get paid playing their FC cricket, but BPL has certainly attracted many youngster to choose cricket as a career, which may not be the case prior BPL.

agreed but that is the way it is mate, what made the difference was that BAN were just 1 wicket down at the time of rain interruption and were going at a good RR. Had BAN being 3 down or something the target would have been a lot more stiff.

can't disagree...to keep things in perspective, odds for lanka winning the match after 12 overs of bdesh innings were 5/1, after rain it changed to 1/1...that speaks a lot...

The problem is this method gives equal value to all wickets so a team consisting of ABD, Amla, Smith and Du Plessis has equal value as a team consisting of Nasir and Mushfiq if the rain interrupts the game at one down.

Yes they do take that into account don't they. Totally slipped my mind.

Yeah should have put some money on Bangla before the rain. :))

Exactly very good point.

The original rpo required was 6.06 for 50 overs. No way 6.78 rpo for 27 overs with all wickets to play with is even remotely similar to 6.06 rpo for 50 overs.
