The news has been published by Daily “Samoyik Prosongo” of Assam and the remark was made last Friday by Swami during a local campaign at Guwahati.

He said India was created based on religion. So one third of the Muslim from Bangladesh that entered India illegally, Dhaka will have to take them back or will have to give up one third of the land of Bangladesh to India.

Subramanian Swami further said he has not discussed the issue with Modi or other leaders yet but will raise a bill at the parliament at the correct time.

Infact you are wrong. Hindu bengalis through their representatives voted in 1947 to have a separate hindu majority state that will be with India while muslim majority part will be with pakistan.

Ofcourse this shocked Suhrawardy and other muslim bengali leaders and they had even proposed a united bengal, but again hindu bengalis shot down the idea as they had realised post 1946 that living within a muslim majority bengal was impossible and the western hindu majority part was only sort for its resources.

If there was a native insurrection and they had deposed Hari Singh and formed a govt in j and k. Then it was different.

Amit Shah has referred to them as termites. I feel that is is time to take what is said by the BJP seriously, as they are in a position to do what they say.

Sheikh Hasina and the Awami league have been loyal servants of India for quite some time now. They have already overwhelmed bengal and now lots of locals are vocally opposing them. Since its easy for bengalis to detect the bangladeshi dialect, they are now going to other states and claim to be bengali from west bengal.

If there was a native insurrection and they had deposed Hari Singh and formed a govt in j and k. Then it was different.

Some people revolted and Hari singh quelled or tried to quell the revolt. And then pakistan invaded kashmir, when it was not pakistan's place to intervene.

article 370 was a bilateral agreement between two independent entities, hari singh and the government of india, hence an external matter. kashmir was not considered a part of india by anyone before.

anyway, bangladesh is a part of india in the akhand bharat framework, therefore conflict with bangladesh is an internal matter just like how kashmir is being presented as an internal matter.

Amit Shah has referred to them as termites. I feel that is is time to take what is said by the BJP seriously, as they are in a position to do what they say.

Sheikh Hasina and the Awami league have been loyal servants of India for quite some time now. I am sure, that, when the time comes, the indian govenrment is going to reward them for their loyalty, just as they rewarded mehbooba mufti and all the kashmiri politicians loyal to India and its constitution with house arrest and the ending their political career by making kashmir union territory.

Kashmir and BD are totally different. No Indian thinks of BD as part of India or want it to be part of India. We recognize it as a sovereign nation and only want normal ties with BD.

Swamy has been saying such things for a long time. It's like your Zaid Hamid guy, don't take him seriously.

You are getting scared about nothing. BD and India have amicable relations and will continue to have good relations for a decade at the bare minimum.

Zaid Hamid is not a part of the current ruling party. Swamy is part of the ruling party. Neither do i see anyone from the BJP denouncing these statements.

i can see that the bangaldeshis have their heads buried in the sand and refuse to see eye to eye with the looming reality of akhand bharat. Even if i am wrong and india has no plans to annex bangladesh, it would be prudent for bangladesh to start developing a nuclear deterrent of their own, just in case.

But I dont see that happening until it is too late. such steps require visionary leadership ,not indian bootlickers.

One believes what they want to believe.

Swamy and other politicians give statements to please certain sections of the crowd. It does not mean they actually believe it will happen.
There is no gain for India to start a war that too against BD. The land is minimal, the strategic location is not of much value, population of BD is way too much. What is the gain? Using force will only cause more issues for us and increase terror threats in the area.
No one is loony enough to start that for no reason.

You need to get out of the fantasy land you are living in and stop living in such fear.
