Basit Ali's Pakistan squad for the ICC T20 World Cup, excluding Mohammad Amir

Sometimes i find it really funny I recall you passionately claiming that Pakistan's CT17 victory was a fluke.
The difference between the two is that Babar Azam knows how to lead his team in T20 World Cups. He made the semifinal in 2021 and the final in 2022. Pakistan has been a consistent team in T20 World Cups. Sarfaraz's Pakistan played like minnows in ODIs after the Champions Trophy. They played two tournaments (Asia Cup 2018 and World Cup 2019) and failed in both.
But If I recall correctly in wc22

● we got hammered by india
Pakistan lost to India on the last ball. It was a 50-50 contest that went right down to the wire. You either don't know what "hammering" means or you are distorting reality to drive your agenda.

Hammering is what Babar Azam dished out to India the year before in Dubai.
●Pakistan's loss to Zimbabwe was a global embarrassment. It led international fans of other teams to create the "Zimbabar" meme.
Babar gets called as "Zimbabar" by ignoramuses because they accuse him of scoring runs vs the likes of Zimbabwe and not delivering against the top sides which is nonsense of course. It has nothing to do with Pakistan losing to Zimbabwe in the World Cup. Stop making up stuff.
●Pakistan's victory over South Africa was solely due to DLS; otherwise, Pakistan wouldn't have stood a chance and would be out of the tournament after that game
No one asked South Africa to get destroyed by Shadab and Iftikhar of all batsmen. They conceded 185 which were 30-40 more than they should have conceded considering the fact that Pakistan were 43/4. South Africa need to blame themselves not rain. Pakistan beat them fair and square.

●Thanks to the Netherlands for defeating South Africa, or our bags were packed and we were ready to flyout and had to return back from the airport
Who asked South Africa to lose to Netherlands?
Babar's average was 17 with a strike rate of 98 throughout the tournament.

It was one of Pakistan's poorest tournaments,
Thanks to shan masood who saved our face by being the top performers of the team
Yes, everyone knows that Babar had a poor tournament except the semifinal. However, the fact that Pakistan made the final without Babar and Rizwan in good form clearly shows that Pakistan absolutely do not need Amir and Imad to perform in T20 World Cups.

I called you out on alot of things, I see the gane you're trying to play.

If Pakistan loses then its imad and Amir fault .

If Pakistan loses in the final its imad and Amir had zero impact.

If Pakistan wins its all babar babar zalmi nonsense.
Everything will unfold organically. We will know when Amir and Imad fail. It won't need pointing out but of course I and those who follow my lead will rub it in like no tomorrow.

Similarly, if Pakistan do well but Amir and Imad have no impact, it won't need pointing out either. We will see people like @Rana make desperate attempts like he did when Pakistan won the 5th T20 and Amir went at 12 an over ("Amir saved Pakistan"), but the reality will be there for everyone to see.

Similarly, if Amir and Imad play well and Pakistan win or lose, it won't need pointing out either and feel free to rub it in at the time, but based on what we saw vs NZ, it shall remain a pipe dream.

i don't know why a hypothetical squad of an irrelevant ex cricketer is leading to so much hooplah. Isn't Pak cricket team doing better the main objective for every pak cricket "fan"?
basit ali is actually succeeding by giving such statements and having people talk about it leading to more twitter engagements and youtube viewers etc and making him more famous for whatever reason (which seems to be his method to make more money)
The end goal for everyone is to make as much money as possible before we leave this earth

You're admitting to the fact that Pakistan made the final without babar and rizwan correct? Aka without them being on good form?

So doesn't your twisted logic apply more for Bobby? Then Amir and imad 😂

Yes but people discussing his opinions and watching his channel etc is only helping him succeed in his mission as that's giving him more money. Shoaib Akhtar has utilized his channel the best for that by clickbaits and praising or criticizing stuff that's going to generate the most views.

Amir was having a poor ct 17 till final. He had taken 2 wickets in 3 matches till the final i believe. No one is accusing him of failing. And amir played no part in pak beating eng in the semis either.

It is 2024 not 2017.

7 years is a long time in life in general and a very long time in cricket.

Amir was in his late 20s in 2017, now he is in his mid 30s and well past his expiry date. He is nowhere near the bowler he was in years gone by.

You can’t pick players today based on what they did years ago. The only thing that matters is your current level and Amir’s current level is not high as we have seen in the PSL and vs NZ.
Imagine me still singing Hasan Ali songs bec he won you the CT '17 with highest wickets and being Player Of The Tournament. Amir was pathetic in that tournament. Despite performing in the final. His avg is 30 with 5 wickets. While Junaid Khan took 9 Wickets @ 19 and Hasan Ali took 13 wickets @ 14.

Wana hear more facts?
