The grip on the handle is kinda strange now on my MB malik when i play it slighly goes up andthe black sticker and glue is gone do i need the glue cuz at the moment i sellotaped it with normal tape.

The grip has gotten old and you would need to replace it because from the inner part it has gotten dry, thats what I can think of.

If you are bothered about stickers then do it otherwise its fine.

thats exactly happens to me all the time and it soo anoying push it back down

Best bet is to change your grip once it starts drying out- due to use/abuse/heat etc.

Also, If you push just the bottom bit down it wont stay down for long.

The trick is to readjust the whole grip- from top to bottom. Or take it off and put it on again.

Is there a shop in in southend on sea where i can get an item which easily allows me to put a new grip on a bat???? ifso not online i mean in a retailers shop.

I second this.

Same thing is happening with me and my Newbery bat grip and it comes off while I'm batting. I would say the grip has lost its "grip " hence it is not going on the handle.

I live in westcliff on sea in southend but willing to travel anywhere in southend to get a shop to do this thanks..

Me and Bat Grips!

Whenever I play with bat, after a while its grip seems to be out place. The tape also comes off.

I just played with my MB Bubber sher once ( and not even in the match) for a little test (slip cathing + knocking) its grip was out of place.

Same happend with my Gray-nicolls and every other bat.

Is it becasue I hold the bat from the bottom of the bat?

And I am not wild with the bat...

..Is there any way I can stop making this happening with my bats? :(

It was already there, and a pretty strong one too.

But I need to bring it down to put a tape on it.

No_Username- here you go. Take off the whole grip and put it back again.

or show us a picture.....

Thats not the problem, I do that again and again with other bats.

But Can I stop it from hapening in the first place?... becasue after I pull it down, after a while it goes back up again. But I don't put another tape on it, is that the reason?

I think I need to tape again.

I know i have asked already but does anyone know where you can get a cricket bat grip with the pakistan flag on it

Afrid1:

Put a small sticker of the flag on the back of the bat.... or front of it.

Flag grips look terrible IMO...

Get a decent quality grip and glue(multi-purpose glue) put some glue carefully onto the bottom and near the top of the handle. If this is done properly the grip will not ever move on the handle. You dont need tape at the bottom but u can put it on to add finishing touch to it and tape only makes it look nice, it never holds down the grip on the handle, Also never cut the grip if it stretches longer then the handle coz after a while the grip goes back to its original length when u play with the bat.

Adjusting and re-installing the grip is part and parcel of batting. Grips do move and most people will re-install the grip every 2-3 months at lower level; and more at higher level.
