Exactly, he has been performing for quite some time now

Quaid trophy finale, Pentangular cup are my recent memories of Rizwan batting brilliantly at domestic level

MAy be Sarfraz and Rizwan can swap places, as Sarfraz is more suited to 6 than Rizwan, although i would want both in top 5

Knowing how dumb Waqar is he will play Ehsan Parxhi Adil over JK...right arm bowler
 
To be honest, I wouldn't look too much into a batting collapse in a tour match. We never do well in tour matches, and I suspect that the players don't really take it seriously. I'd be more worried if we collapse in the real thing.

Yeah that is what i am saying. It is myth that now-a-days you required technically correct batsman in ODIs. Fluent batsman, who don't bogged down and play naturally are the one which modern LOI cricket demands, does not matter if you are techinically correct or just a FTB.
 
The positive thing looking at the lineup is the fact that Azhar is opening. Him at #3 or lower would be a disaster.
 
What a champion cricketer Fawad is? time and time again prove his worth in a team. Must in ODI and Tests.

Our stupid selectors have him as backup for tests.

I wasn't talking about that series only regarding Misbah. I meant to say he has scored all over the world in ODIs.
 
Funny how everyone is suddenly fit or right to play in the Pak Side sorry to say but that's pretty weird.

You're in for some big disappointment then. Rizwan is poor against pace particularly, and at best will be decent in subcontinent.

Let the time prove.

i am not Mamoon :facepalm: or not a heart broken fan.
i always talk positive and love to see players performing.
and i never ever cover their performances with the stupid label of impact or rubbish bowling.
Hafeez and Faddy played well, faddy always play well. and he is definitely an impact player.
and we need players like him who can hold their position till the last ball of the game.

faddy is always ignored by the selectors and PCB, but i think now he will become the permanent player of test and ODI.
and yes he has proved it many times that he is champion cricketer. but PCB dont trust him much

Oh okay, just had a look at his domestic stats, very impressive. Is he a wicketkeeper as Cricinfo has him listed, or is it just another mistake like Asad Shafiq's profile used to be?

And the comment was not for you but those he keep harping Fawad is not an impact player, cannot perform against in AUS and so on. They also say they look at fact but in this case ignore the fact not true for Fawad, he makes an impact in his own way(not in the fashion of Afrid or Umar) and has performed in AUS.

Yes he can keep. Bangladesh could have three keepers playing in the XI soon with Mushfiqur, Anamul and Liton.

those who are saying fawad cant perform in AUS, i think they should check fawad performances when he was in AUS, i still remember always he was playing alone till the last man.
he is the sort of player who can play everywhere in the world on every sort of pitch.he is real deal,
but some people are blinded with favoritism . . .

Fawad Alam is the best example of why international cricket should not be the pinnacle of the game. If he was eligible to play for more than one team, someone would have snapped him up by now. Imagine how many more talented players have given up the game because they don't want to risk their whole life on the arbitrary selections of PCB? Fawad's treatment has been disgraceful.

Shehzad was our best bat across all formats when he was in the team. He was dropped for his attitude and rightfully so. Don't see how love has gotten into this. Now, you and Amin; that might make a cut for that theory.

Rizwan has scored against the best pacers we have in Pakistan with ease and he has done it under pressure as well. The recent pent-angular is an example, scores through with a brilliant hundred while chasing in the final. Before that he was brilliant in the FC (QT gold) with a double ton in the final. Averages 45 in both formats which shows consistency. Plays the short bowl well( not great) and looks good vs swing, seam movement from what I have seen.

Sami Aslam needs couple more domestic seasons before we can judge whether he is cut for international cricket or not. He is quite weak against both pace and spin. Bowl a good in-swinger and he will back in the hut.
 
Junaid 3 overs; 2 maidens, 1 run( econ 0.33) and a wicket.

He seems unplayable atm.:junaid

yes there are alot of examples, but now this new selection committee is showing a bit of concern towards talent
so we can only hope that may we see our best talent out of whole pakistan
deserving players to play cricket.
and on this tour we are seeing some new and deserving talent.

And of no surprise, Azhar played a test esque 50 over match. Will at all the ODIs but did he everllks as many predicted.

I'm pretty sure you might have been tempted to rate Junaid above Amir just based on stats. Similarly the way you hype Shehzad and Rizwan as world class talents is also based on excel spreadsheet.

As I said, let the time prove it. Rizwan won't prosper in international arena, and has no game against pace.
 
6 runs off Ajmal's first over, I have a feeling he'll get a phainta today and the rest of the tour, hopefully he'll prove me wrong

Left out the best batsman in Bangladesh (Liton) for two hacks (Tamim and Rony)
 
Liton looks like the real deal from his record and how he seems to be batting.
Will know by end of the tour where he stands.

Yeah I agree with you, should mean the end of his career. Although I feel that if he's anywhere close to the bowler he used to be that he could stick around in t20s till 2016 wc, but he needs to be removed from ODIs and tests

According to cricinfo he's only used 4 bowlers, and are you making this out to be a good thing or a bad thing? It's a warm up game, there will be experimentation, especially in the bowling
 
Ajmal looks horrible 13 from 1.4 overs!!! Hope he will come back in this game

And no, I don't rate Juanid above Amir. The only point I may have done so when he was bowling those spells in SL and India.

Excel spreadsheets?? Shehzad averages 47 in test cricket with 3 tons(SL, NZ and Aus). Name me one opener post Anwar who has had such a start to his career or can boast of such numbers(even at home)?? And I don't call them world class (both have a long way to go); just the best Pak have at the moment.
 
Most probably after BD series Ajmal will loose spot at least one format of cricket.
