3 outstanding keepers of world cricket (Test format)

Which of the three would you pick as your number 1 keeper batsman in the world right now?

I’ll go with Ben Foakes I recon. He is a clutch lower order batsman. Should be playing for England ahead of Bairstow as the keeper, whilst Bairstow can play as a batter only.

Among these three, I will pick Rizwan.

But overall, the best keeper of this generation has to be that guy who is renownedly known as "Best since Gilly." :inti :viru :inti

Riz recently sloppy behind the stumps.

Best out & out keeper is Foakes who has also improved with bat. My test keeper of i had to choose atm.

Tough one between Blundell and Rizwan.

Blundell is probably the better test bat.

Rizwan is a good player but has played a heck of a lot on phattas in Pakistan without really cashing in with the bat.

Blundell is the best bat and pretty good with the gloves.

Foakes is the best with gloves and okayish with the bat.

Rizwan is okayish in both departments.

So Blundell it is...

Not too long ago Rizwan had a fantastic run overseas where he scored runs in England and NZ followed by centuries in Pakistan against SA and Australia. He had one bad series and he was dropped for Sarfaraz. Rizwan will be back with a bang and will make you all eat your words. His keeping has always been flawless so not sure what posters are talking about.

If Rizwan is okayish behind the stumps then Pant is a poor keeper.

Rizwan needs to get back in the side but so does Foakes for that matter

Blundell might well be the best Keeper Batsman in the world atm

Blundell reached his highest Test ranking this year. no.7. Currently no.11 Ranked player only below Pant who is ranked 10.

I don’t know why the myth that Foakes is a great WK keeps getting recycled. I think it was Robert who initiated this propaganda.

I think someone shared some stats on PP that showed that he has dropped catches and missed stumping more frequently than the likes of Buttler and Bairstow who are not viewed as great keepers.

He is just okay with the gloves and average with the bat. There is no way you can play him ahead of Bairstow.

To answer the OP’s question, they are all at a similar level but Blundell seems to be the best batsmen among the three.

Lol no need to get defensive. He has been making quite a few errors behind the stumps in the last one year or so. Pant himself is an okayish WK.

Have you got stats to back it up if so please present it.
