Kolkata: Expressing solidarity with Rohingya Muslims of Myanmar, Shia cleric Maulana Shabbir Ali Azad Warsi threatened to overthrow the central government over their deportation.

Warsi threatened the government at a rally which was organised September 18 in Kolkata in West Bengal demanding the settlement of Rohingya Muslims in the country.

"If the Muslims are in minority, are we weak? You don't know the history of the Muslims. We are Hussaini Muslims. even if we are 72, we can kill lakhs," Maulana Shabbir Ali Warsi said at the rally.

"This is our memorandum to the Delhi government that Rohingyas are our brothers. Don't think that the Rohingya Muslims are different from the Muslims of India. We all Muslims are brothers. Don't try to evacuate the Rohingya Muslims from Bengal. This is Bengal, not Assam, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Muzaffarnagar or Muzaffarpur," he added.

Meanwhile, in an another development, sources in the government told Zee Media that the Pakistan-based terror groups like Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Al-Qaeda are trying to recruit the young Rohingyas, who have taken refuge in India, and train them in militancy.

The Centre had on Monday told the Supreme Court that the ''Rohingyas are a serious security threat'' and are ''staying in India illegally''. Sources further said that the government has proof to link Rohingyas to Pakistan-based terror groups such as LeT, Al-Qaeda and so on.

Terror group Aqamul Mujahideen (AMM) is one of the main factors in establishing the connection between LeT and Rohingyas.

AMM, which allegedly has links with LeT, was the mastermind behind attacks on Myanmar border outposts last year. The group also has ties with Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) cell in Jammu and Kashmir.

Nearly 40,000 Rohingya Muslims have taken refuge in India, with 7,000 living in 23 settlements across Jammu.

On Sunday, the Delhi Police arrested man for suspected links with al Qaeda. The accused's mission was to set up base Manipur or Mizoram and radicalise Rohingya Muslims to fight the militancy in Myanmar, police said.

Not long and BJP will make inroads in Bengal, also how was he going to overthrow an elected government at center ?

Only in India can a minority make statements like killing lakhs and get away with it.

I was not expecting from Shia cleric to support sunni refugees considering Shias got a good understanding with BJP.

Shias and Sunnis do live a bit uneasy existence in India. Thankfully they don't gun down each other.

Waiting for the photo where Mr. Ali Azad is laughing and sipping tea with Modi comes out on Facebook.

Wow now this idiot just confirmed that the rohingyas will be deported back to myanmar.

He should be put to jail for this hate speech.

Somebody correct me but if my history is not wrong I remember those 72 were all killed in a mere couple of hours in Karbala.Maybe Warsi sahb is the one here who need to get his facts right.

Nothing surprising, historically the majority in India has always been ruled by a handful minority, sometimes the Muslims and Brit's the other time.

I was just replying to his statement of 72 stopping a lakh.Of course whatever happened was wrong and I have had always respected Imam Hussain.

From an Indian friend .. who loves Modi...
and I think Shias took stance against sunnis on Triple Talaq issue...

Which is a wonderful thing. I hope the ruling against instant talaaq/triple talaaq is applied in Pakistan as well.

lmao we are hussainis. whats that supposed to mean . Hussain wasnt a bengali and a battle 1300 years ago has no bearing on the modern day.

From what I see on the internet, Many Muslims take pride in the Muslim conquests. Even a South Indian Muslim also uses the word "we" referring to Muslim conquests sometimes.

If I ever become USA citizen, I guess I can claim that I defeated Nazis :yk2

We don't know his background. He might be a descendant for all we know.

He looks no different from a regular telugu guy.

May be he has a Mughal ancestor or a Turk or a Pathan ancestor. I may be wrong. His last name is not khan. So I am assuming he is not a pathan. His lastname is Mastan. Pretty common telugu muslim lastname.

I said this before, Jehangir looked no different from any indian...
mother contributes 50% of genes...so consider a mughal lineage full of indian mothers...in few generations, only minimal %age of mughal genes would remain...

I guess all the Telugu Muslims that claim are all mughals and afghans. Unknowingly I made friends with royalty. : afridi

If I become a Muslim today, I cannot claim Mughal conquests, but my grandchildren can? The 2 generation waiting period is a bit harsh :sree

- It takes some generations to get rid of inferiority complex and develop new confidenice.

- Babur defeated another muslim ruler of India. ..nothing special in mughals conquests...I may suggest that indian muslims should claim, the conquest of muhammad bin qasim...772 AD...Mughal rulers were not really muslims...

Well the central government can surely throw them out if they wanted. Behind the scenes for some reason India seems happy to take in the Rohingya people.

Following that line of thought you can argue that the Ottomans were no longer Turkish since most of the princes had Circassian/Georgian mothers lol or that Aga Khan is European since every one of their grandmamas were European for the last 4 generations.

He's talking about it in a religious sense, he's a follower of Hussain which makes him a Hussaini. Idk why people in Europe are so ethnocentric lol.

The Mughals got nothing to do with the Prophet Muhammad and the early Muslims.

Some are promoting radical clerics to try and hold onto muslim votes. As they are fast losing support due to corruption allegations and no development work.

First banning Durga idol immersion on 1st october, which the high court struck down. Now this. Not to forget another radical cleric who issued a fatwa againist Modi.

Lol we really need a Guantanamo bay of our own. These clerics wouldn't dare open their mouths then. I really feel for the plight of the stateless Rohingyas but India really needs to build better relationships with Myanmar and Hunan rights will always take a backseat to that.

Always feel good when third world adopts good things from first world.

Agha khan is definitely from Ali and Fatima, but is he an Arab, nope.
If he marries an Arab woman, children will again high %age of arab genes...

troodon i know that. i have a friend whos ancestors converted to islam from sikhism about 150 years ago and when he was praising Aurangzeb as a great muslim leader.

When Taimur was discussing with his generals and sons whether to invade India or China, one of his sons or generals said He feared that after the invasion their progeny would become like The indians, Taimur told him I only plan to invade not settle, even babur when he invaded Northen India said he disliked the people and the weather and coudant wait to return to Kabul, funnily enough Taimurs progeny in the end did become Indianised.

lol. if you ever start talking about British colonies and say, 'when we used to rule them Goddamn brownies'

Lol how do you know for sure? Also he wouldn't marry an Arab woman, in fact all of the Aga Khan wives and mothers since the late 1800s have been European women, the current children of the aga khan are barely 1/8th middle eastern lol. So just like you claimed that the Mughals had become indianized, similarly the aga khans have become Europeanized lol.

Hussain, grandson of prophet of islam, married to Shehrbano, princess of Iran. (her father lost to l islamic army and she was captured)

So you can say that 50% iranian genes introduced at that very early stage (4th imam of shias).

Prince Kareem Aga is the 49th imam of ismailis and Hussain was 3rd...and chain of lineage is extremely reliable in the case of prince aga khan.

Most important point is that all Asian, European, Australian etc, originated from one couple living in east Africa some 70000 years ago.

Your overall qualities and characteristics are defined by all of your genes, and your lineage from your dad side is defined by markers on Y chromosome
