Voice of Shastri is something extraordinary, full of personality.
Harsha is no longer the same commentator he was years ago. He has become a caricature of himself.Harsha is quite loved in Australia and Ravi Shastri in England
Effect of aging. Still i love his commentaryDynamic voice yes but the man's been spewing boring cliches for the last 3 decades.
Why Bhogale?Worst of the lot is
India - Sanjay Manjrekar, Sunil Gavaskar, Harsha Bhogale.
Pakistan - Rameez Raja, Waqar Younis.
Bangladesh - Athar Ali Khan
England - Marc Nicholas
Tired of listening to his same old banality, especially in front of guys like DK or even Murali Karthik, who atleast try to talk about some techicalities. Why Bhogale?
I didn't mind the commentary of Shastri and Gavaskar in the 1990s, when they had backbone. But they have long since traded in their spines. Knowing which side their naan is buttered, they are as much courtiers as commentators.Shastri has become too much of a gimmick. He's okay in small doses. Gavaskar is great.
Naa. Gavaskar is now too old- he repeats the same stuff again, talks very banal or is usually ranting against something nonsensical. Should be pensioned off, IMO.Shastri has become too much of a gimmick. He's okay in small doses. Gavaskar is great.
The fact that he has kept getting gigs for so long is a crimeSeriously, they really need to boot Ramiz Raja.
He's just pathetic.
Bhogle has been quite smug and sanctimonious for a while.Watching the BGT made me realize how much I have come to despise Harsha Bhogle as a commentator.
He is the epitome of a wannabe intellectual, constantly trying to force these contrived, overdramatic narratives into every moment. It’s like he’s auditioning for some literary award. Like bro, just shut up and call the action. He is absolutely insufferable to listen to.
In a way he is worse than Ramiz because he is intelligent and knows his cricket, and frankly, he should know better.
Shastri is the only decent Indian commentator left. Atleast he is entertaining to listen to. Karthik has potential but they don't invite him much.
Meanwhile, Gavaskar has lost his marbles. Murali Karthik was already garbage. Manjrekar has thankfully been blacklisted by the BCCI. Kumble sounds like a cricket commentator from the 1920s...just puts you to sleep. Anyone else I'm missing?
Will the Indian commentators take the trip to Pakistan for CT or like Indian team they will be confined to UAE games , let's see
Does come across as very genuine yet passionate; unlike bitter Gav.They’re crap anyway. I think only Ravi Shastry is interesting once he became part of the Gen Z meme culture. Also has a nice history with Pakistan cricket, gave the name Boom Boom to Afridi , hosted Shah & Waz show with Wasim.
