This is my choice of the best fusion of 2 great fast bowlers who played together for a team to constitute the perfect fast bowler. The criteria is pacemen with contrasting qualities and not just greatness. Thus not included paceman whose nature or qualities were similar.Blended qualities of sheer speed ,versatility ,accuracy or control of another.

1.Malcolm Marshall-Curtly Ambrose

The Razor sharp accuracy and steep bounce of Ambrose would be the perfect foil for the innovative craft and deception of Marshall.Reminiscent of a bulldozer moulded with a magician.Marshall's banana swing and skidding bouncer would be a perfect accomplice for Ambrose's rising deliveries and yorkers.

2.Andy Roberts-Joel Garner

Pin -point accuracy and bounce of Garner with the magical craft or guile of Roberts would create an unplayable paceman.Truly lethal proposition facing the bouncers at varying speeds and out swinger of Roberts with the lethal yorker and short rising ball of Garner.

3.Dennis Lillee-Jeff Thomson

The subtle craft and water tight accuracy of Lillee would be the perfect blend with the devastating agression and explosive impact of Jeff Thomson.Perfect moulding of sheer sped with versatility.

4.Wasim Akram-Shoaib Akhtar

What could be a better combination than the wizardry of Wasim with the lightning speed of Shoaib.Blending the explosion of a dynamite with the tricks of a magician.

5.Alan Donald -Shaun Pollock

Donald was unbelievably quick creating lethal bounce and movement while although fast -medium Pollock could be more nagging or discomforting with his away swinger or leg cutter executed with phenomenal control.

6.Curtly Ambrose-Courtney Walsh

Devastating hostility and accuracy of Ambrose with the stamina and intelligence of Walsh would be a truly daunting proposition.

7.Ian Botham-Bob Willis

I have never sen a more intelligent bowler than Botham who although fast -medium could bowl the most unplayable outswinger while few pacemen were more determined or quicker with the new ball than Willis.

8.Glen Mcgrath-Bret Lee

Blending of the control and intelligence of Mcgrath with the raw speed of Bret Lee would make a perfect fast bowler.

9.Andy Roberts-Michael Holding

The sped through the air and perfect action of Holding with the craft and variation of Roberts would make a perfect fast bowler.

10.Dennis Lillee-Bob Massie/Terry Alderman

The all-round perfection of Lillee with the lethal movement of Bob Massie or later Terry Alderman.

Johnson - Harris. Pure pace and aggression combined with seam movement, accuracy and swing. Everything you need

Mohammad Asif - Shoaib Akhtar

It might work in theory but it is going to be almost impossible in practice with someone who went out and out with pace like Akhtar to get the wily variations of someone bowling strict medium. Fast bowlers use their pace for a more aggressive and different style of bowling than the medium pacers who use line and length plus variations.

Dennis Lillee and Jeff Thomson would be simply unplayable.
