it will be all down to who does well in tests,,,,, Hassan was decent on debut, so was fiz but lacks pace so will struggle at most places... dont know if Bumrah has it wat it takes to be a good test bowler... so currently its between Mustafiz n Hassan Ali...

on LOI Mutafiz n Bumrah are better than Hassan Ali but Hassan Ali has talent to match them but he is behind at the min

Hasan Ali has come a long way since his debut. He is now leader of the pack overtaking Amir within a very short space of time. Now hitting 90mph.

"Fizz" or whatever his name is, untested in western conditions. Bumrah has a ridiculously horrid technique.

Hasan Ali bester pacer from Asia right now. Another year and he will join the world leaders in pace bowling.

Every tom dick and harry comes from Pak is better bowler than other subcon counterpart despite having the worst record ( only this time record doesn't count only pace and future counts).

Hasan Ali has the worst record?

After only one home series he has an average of 26, how exactly is that bad?

t20 and death bumah ,odi fizz. tests hasan ali ..over all its bw fizz and hassan ali but 3 to 4 years from today the oic will be clear which depends on fizz fitness mainly and his bowling in tests,,hassan has improved by leaps and bounds..

You have only future and past ,no present. Be happy with those.

Mustafizur in 16 innings already has half the number of five-fers that Pakistan's greatest ever ODI bowler had and here we have people talking about him in the same sentence as some Hasan Ali.

I can personally guarantee that Hasan Ali will be smashed to all corners of the ground in the Champions Trophy. There is no way his economy rate will be below 6 runs an over for the tournament. Might even be over 7.

You have good six sense. Can you predict the number of months or years Bangla fans will cry after Champions Trophy humiliation?

at present hassan is the best package who is atheletic in field and can slog with varation does not need wickets with grif...plus has never missed 6 to 7 moths crket due to fitness issue...

How can you guarantee, have you seen the future?

How can you guarantee, have you seen the future?

Some Pak ppers always see the future great pak bowlers and batsmen (in my less than one year in pp at least 15 future greats they made). The posters are like Any new bowler or batsman are future great and after 6 month 'get him out of the team' or 'useless' or 'another atg is waiting outside'. Those posters don't have patience to rate any newcomer at least for 3/4 years and also don't take time to call them rubbish after some failures.

Come back and talk when aus invite you in aus in 2030 so any one of your fast bowler can take a five

wicket haul like hasan have in aus in odi series

They haven't even gotten invited to U.K. yet. Am looking forward to that series.

England will score 500 in at least one of the ODIs.

Man you guys don't watch matches, have no idea about stats etc and just ask random questions with a false sense of bravado. A simple cricinfo search can give you results.

Both Bumrah and Mustafizur have better averages and economy rates than Hasan Ali.

Some good performances by Bumrah:

I'd rather have my eyes gouged out than watch Bumrah bowl. The latter is more painful and I'm going to lose my eyesight in both cases

You call those good performances?

First match= 3 wickets against tailenders, in a loosing cause, at home venue.
Second match= Soft wicket of Smith caught at mid wicket and one tailender, at home venue.
Third match= Premeditated wild mid order top edged shot, one tailender wicket, at home venue.
Fourth match= An LBW due to Bad umpiring, and panic last over wicket, at home venue.
Fifth match= Warner wild premeditated shot straight to fielder, one taildender wicket, at home venue.

That's the best he got?

TBH the only way you can look at bumrahs bowling is through the spreadsheet. Else you might risk losing your eyesight

Lol he went for exactly 7 an over in his first match. He bowled well in the second match thanks to the conditions but there is still one match to go. Don't worry brothers order will be restored soon. Still time for my prediction. :))

Don't even look at the spread sheet... please.. He has 2 four wicket hauls, both of them against Zimbabwe. In his entire ODI career, he has only 2 wickets outside india and Zimbabwe.

Isse kehte hai selective quoting. He has played only 2 matches outside India and Zimbabwe. One was against Aus where he bowled really well and the other was Sunday's beatdown of Pakistan (yaad hai ya Pakistani selective memory deleted this)?

Isn't he playing champions trophy, if not, what's the reason? Isn't he your best bowler??

1. Sydney and Adelaide are in India?
2. Hasan has taken most of his wickets in losses.
3. Using your language Hasan's performance yesterday - one bad shot leading to an inside edge and two tailenders (If faulkner is a tailender so too is Parnell/Duminy). Is that the best he has got?

Isn't he playing champions trophy, if not, what's the reason? Isn't he your best bowler??

You said he has taken 2 wickets outside India/Zimbabwe. Bhaijaan he has played only 2 matches outside India/Zimbabwe. First was in Australia where he did really well taking 40-2 against a strong OZ lineup. Second match was on Sunday where your batsmen couldn't even last long till the death overs where Bumrah usually gets his wickets.

These Bumrahs and Mustafizurs have way greater stats than Hasan Ali and have already done multiple times what Hasan did today. In the big pressure match against India Hasan was treated like a club bowler.

Hassan Ali has played 18 matches and has took 33 wickets with 2 5fers and 1 4fer avg of 25
Bumrah has just played 12 matches as of yet taking 22 wickets at a better avg and economy but yet to take a single fifer.

And with the action of Bumrah I would say it would be hard for him to replicate the delivery Hassan Ali bowled to Wayne Parnell. That was an extraordinary delivery.

I would say all three are good but Hassan to me is a complete package. He can touch 146 Kph, he can swing the new ball, can reverse swing the old ball (One of the best reverse swing bowlers in recent time), can bowl a fast bouncer and very good slower ball and can bowl well at death (Yes india game was not his best in terms of death bowling but you will see in future matches).

The only drawback of Bumrah I see is his action as it will restrict him to do a lot of things in future, like it would be difficult for him to reverse swing the ball if not impossible as for that you need a bit round armish action, never seen anyone whose arm comes from so close to the neck to reverse swing the ball. He can never outswing the ball miles. Otherwise he is pretty good too especially at death.

Hasan Ali was butchered in England and Australai with an economy rate over 6 and was responsible in part for their 1-4 losses. Against India in the pressure match he leaked lots of runs and was treated like a punching bag by Yuvi/Kohli. One good match against the bilateral specialists and he's the best? Come on. This overhyping of Hasan and yesterday's opener show how desperate Pakistani fans are for some hope as cricket is one of the few things left to them.

Where did you get two tailenders? Tailenders bat at num 8 to 11... Last time I checked, Faulkner is a number 8 bat, therefore is a taildender...

While, Duminy/Parnell are 6/7 bats... NOT tailenders.. They average 37 and 21... and Hasan Ali dismissed them both in two successive premeditated deliveries, not by luck..

I agree with this. But thing is in this Indian team it is harder to get 5fer cause all the bowlers are pretty decent. Hasan is good but he is lucky he gets to bowl with Wahab and Amir (who is a defensive wicket-taking bowler).

If Duminy is a tailender than he is the best I have seen in my lifetime and SA bats him pretty high up the order, dont know why. Lol!

Tailender is by ability, not position. Do nightwatchmen become proper batsmen when they bat higher? Faulkner also averages 34 with the bat. If Faulkner is a tailender and Bumrah's accomplishments can be diminished by them so too are Duminy/Parnell.

You keep spitting out crap, just give credit where it's due. Rabada, the best ODI bowler in world were also bowling on same wicket and moreover he was bowling to poor pakistani batsmen. If conditions were that good he would have destroyed Pakistan like he did with Poms before CT.

Hasan is a good bowler and he and Morne outbowled rest of the bowlers. Against India he was clearly nervous, dropped a simple catch and was mainly hit in the slogging overs.

Having said that, I am not telling you that he is better than Mustafiz or Bumrah, I am not biased as you, just achknowledging his performance yesterday.

If Duminy is the tailender than he is the best I have seen in my lifetime and SA bats him pretty high up the order, dont know why. Lol!

That was in reply to the other guy who was trying to diminish Bumrah's achievements by calling Faulkner (34 average) a tailender so that entire reply is just using his own screwed logic and applying it to Hasan's career.

While I agree duminy is a good batsman but to label parnell as a batsman is blasphemy. He is a proper tail ender and him playing at 7/8 doesn't change it.

Hasan's economy was severely effected in that series by his 2-100 in the last OD where he bowled very poorly.

England was his first OD series, I'd I've him some leeway there.

Dude you can say all the crap you want but Bumrah's dismissal of Faulkner was NO way impressive at all... Not only he is a number 8 bat, but Australia needed 53 runs from 18 balls in the death overs of a t20 match.. he hit a six to bumrah, then got dismissed next delivery, he was just trying to score runs... bumrah did nothing to deserve it, Faulkner just gave the wicket away.. the softest dismissal situation possible in T20 Cricket!!

Just to remind you, Hasan dismissed number 6/7 Duminy/Parnell, when SA were set on defensive strategy of 3 runs/over in the middle overs of a ODI match.

To be honest Parnell is not bad a batsman even if you look at the stats, I would say better than a tailender but definitely not a world class bat

Lol don't go by stats, I have seen enough of him to conclude that he is a mug with the bat. He can't play a handful knock to save his life.

Again talking batting position. Faulkner at 8 is a much better batsmen than Parnell at 7.

Secondly that dismissal was impressive. It was a pin point yorker.

Also I was talking about the last ODI not the T20 where Australia were batting first.

If taking wickets at the death is so easy when people are trying to score runs then how the hell did Hasan Ali get smashed around by Kohli and Yuvraj?

Hasan did not get smashed. He did OK. Had it not been for fielders, those two batsmen of yours would've been dismissed IN the death overs, before 280, refuting your whole argument. Don't forget, Hasan trapped Yuvraj. It was just a bad day for the Pak fielders, or else we do decent bowling.

Hasan did get smashed. He went for 40 in his last 3. His figures are only slightly respectable as he bowled a lot in the consolidation stage.

And if those two batsmen had got dismissed there was Pandya, MSD, Jadeja, Jadhav to blast the bowlers.

We'll see how Bumrah bowls against this shaky Sri Lankan side. I predict he will get the 11th man as his only wicket, and MAYBE the 10th man as well. And go for 6 runs/ over. His speed will probably be 123-135 kmph

Maybe cause Indian bowling is so good that they won't even last long enough till death overs (as seen in warmups and match against Pakistan).

Bumrah is a lot of things but the speed he generates from that action is very, very impressive.

That must be the reason he bowled 145 kph against Pakistan. Hasan in comparison is a decent trundler, nothing more.

If 146.2 km/h is trundling what is fast?

Majority of the balls at 135-138 region is trundling, and this is mostly where Hasan operates. Not saying that trundlers can't be good bowlers, but he is anything but fast.

For a fast bowler the hardest time to take a wicket is midle overs and Hassan Ali is doing very well.

Bumrah just take wickets at the back end of the innings when the value of the wickets is not as much.

Naah, death over wickets are important. This attitude is why Pakistan concede 74 in 4 the other day and have conceded 444.

Interestingly, in 2015, death wickets were more important when it came to justifying Wahab's performances in the WC. :23:

Amir.

He needs a bit of luck - but it continues to elude him. He is bowling well and economically without luck and routinely delivering between the 85-90mph.

He needs a bit of luck... I believe that you create your own luck too but it does feel like he could be finishing games with more than he's receiving at the moment.

No.

Amir bowls too short and while it looks good with the missed edges etc it never gets the edges. While it helps the economy as it's harder to dispatch to the boundary the wickets don't come as edges won't be induced and bowled/lbws don't come into the picture. It's the same reason Ishant is called unlucky.

If we took the cacthes before we will still not have conceded that many runs.
In any case, Hasan Ali has a good start to his career and should think at becoming a great fast bowler. He has lot of ingredients to do so.

Bumrah, at best can become a very good LOI bowler and even in ODI's he will not be that good. Whenever India will play 2 spinners it will be hard for him to survive in a pace attack with Bhuv and Pandya.
He can be a good 3rd or 4th pacer so he can bowl just at some moments...

Even if those wickets had gone runs would have been conceded. Pandya, MS, JAdeja and Jadhav were there.

And how can you say he will not be that good when already is. And he will always be in the team as a death overs specialist.

Fizz.
Bumrah and Ali are decent but lack Mustafizur's bowling brain. This CT has shown the difference. Fizz outthinks batsmen while the other young bowlers rely on 1 or 2 tricks.

Explains why Hasan has been more economical and has taken more wickets than the Fizz in the CT.

Context matters. Fizz had Aus where he wanted them with 100 runs to go. He lost an opportunity. We have played Eng and Aus - we are in the much tougher group.

I have seen nothing in Ali to suggest he can surpass Fizz.

Disagree, I would suggest that he bowls short of good length on a decent line - otherwise he would be getting dispatched.

Not sure what game you're watching pal - short bowling is usually quite comfortably dispatched. Short of good length less so, and his economy rate usually attests to that.

I haven't seen Ishant in a while, what I remember of him was being quite excited by the prospect of an Indian quick. However in and amongst it he was rather wayward too and his economy suggests so.

I don't sit on Cricinfo though to draw my comparisons, so you'll have to correct me if I'm wrong.

IMO - Ishant Sharma and Mohammad Amir do not share the same issues.

Yes you are wrong. And you don't have to sit on cricinfo to infer that. Just watching some matches will do.

Ishant is called unlucky in his test bowling where he bowls similarly. Short of good length on a decent line which leads to him looking good but no wickets.

His one day economy is on the higher side due to lack of death bowling skills (and hence why he was replaced once Bumrah came into the picture). His opening overs were similar to Amir's where he misses the edge a lot.
