This is really good for North east infrastructure and development push

A historic moment.

Congratulations to all Kashmiris & Bharatiyas.

Cheers to progress.

This will help local people and tourists to travel to & from Kashmir with ease. It will boost tourism immensely!!!!

there are bunch of such projects going on in Assam. THey are getting really good project. Wait for the end of this year and you will see many more which are in the final stages to start on the ground. I like to post it only when actual work starts rather than the MOUs signed.

For all the problems Ind has- their resilience and development inspite of the challenges and obstacles it has is truly admirable!👍
India was always chaotic, is and will be always chaotic. There will be literally 1000s of voices, dissent, cacophony around. Direction country is taking will always look like traffic in a eight way junction in middle of a tier two city. But ultimately everyone works things out, reaches their destination. That is how progress happens in a very diverse country. There is no other country which is going through development process which is so highly diverse and so large both population wise and size wise and doing it all under democracy. India is the only such country. USA was not so diverse when they were developing and China is mostly same ethnic group under a authoritarian rule.

Let me repeat. There has never been any country in the history of humanity which is as big as India is now, which is as diverse and democratic trying to move forward. You are literally seeing once in a humanity event unfold. This generation who is working will witness something humanity has never seen. By grace of God and hard working people, India will be a developed nation something in the second part of this century. When they do that, they would have done it as fast as any country as progressed under democracy.

One good thing happening now is that development is happening across all parts of India. This really helps India in the long term to reduce dependency on Metros and scarcity of natural resources.

Atleast in the South, all the manufacturing hubs are being distributed across the states. So, people doesnt need to move to metros for blue collar jobs. Cost of living will be less and the low salaries compared to white collar jobs would suffice.

This is happening in Andhra Pradesh, Tamilnadu, Assam and Gujarat.
Once the electronics and semi-conductor projects materialize to production in 2/3 years, our manufacturing output will improve significantly

Metros land rates are out of reach for a common man. With WFO push from orgs, employees are moving in droves back to metros. Spreading our seems to be the logical conclusion but it never materialises because leaders are greedy and want to earn for their next 10 generations

Kudos to DRDO ,massive leap towards next-gen hypersonic missile tech. Science, strength & sovereignty soaring together :kp

Absolutely nice to see this! If more and more such college grads take this route India will be good as once we into job force we don’t care about working on such passion projects.

Pixxel is one of my fav stories of BITS pilani grads.

I used to hate DRDO with a passion esp the Delhi branch hopefully its better now

India su**s currently in semiconductor manufacturing. But India is also a major player in chip design. Approximately 20% of all chip designers in the world are based out of India. So expect in next decade India to become a semiconductor behemoth if all the manufacturing plants announced and in development comes online.

We will have so much domestic demand that, chip manufacturing will grow rapidly after initial stages.

Indian Auto manufacturing is still far behind. We have only 34 cars / 1000 people and that number should 4-5X in the next 10 years or so once we reach the threshold percapita income of 4.5K usd. That alone will generate huge domestic demand for Chip manufacturing.

And looking at the electronics manufacturing set up in India, we should be in a safe place in the next 10 years.

We should increase the pace of infrastructure for the next decade expectations. We are still lagging even though we improved quite a bit in pace of infrastructure projects. Even a Japanese article shows they are p***d for the delay in bullet rail . partial completion and trial run is target for next year( 300 out 500kms) .

This is a good swot article on India's semi conductor industrial ambitions . We need good infrastructure for generating power for an industy of size 14 to 28 football fields. We need to pick ourselves in terms of infrastructure and we have tge technical expertise.

Here's a more well researched article realistically assessing India's chances at getting a foothold in this massive market.

India’s new chip fab rises from the dust

As you say, it's still early days. Let's wait and see if this massive gamble can start the ball rolling even if it is at the lower end of the market.

UK and India agree 'landmark' trade deal
After three years of on-off negotiations, the UK and India have agreed a trade deal that will make it easier for UK firms to export whisky, cars and other products to India, and cut taxes on India's clothing and footwear exports.

The deal does not include any change in immigration policy, including towards Indian students studying in the UK, the British government said.

Business Secretary Jonathan Reynolds said the benefits for UK businesses and consumers were "massive".

Last year trade between the UK and India totalled £41bn and was already forecast to grow, but the government said the deal would boost that trade by an additional £25.5bn a year by 2040.

Mr Reynolds met his Indian counterpart Piyush Goyal in London last week to put the final touches on the deal.

Once it comes into force, which could take up to a year, UK consumers are likely to benefit from the reduction in tariffs on goods coming into the country from India, the Department for Business said.

As well as clothing, that will include some Indian foodstuffs, such as frozen prawns.

The government also emphasised the benefit to economic growth and job creation from UK firms expanding exports to India.

Gin and whisky tariffs will be halved to 75%, with further reductions taking effect in later years.

Levies on cars, aerospace, electricals and some UK food products will also fall.

The British government said the deal was the "biggest and most economically significant" bilateral trade agreement the UK had signed since leaving the European Union in 2020.

Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer described it as a "landmark deal" which would boost growth and "deliver for British people and business".

India's prime minister, Narendra Modi, described the deal as an historic milestone that was "ambitious and mutually beneficial".

India is forecast to become the world's third-largest economy in a few years.

US President Donald Trump's tariff campaign has focused minds in other countries on how to respond, and increased the impetus to strike trade deals.

The UK is also a high priority trading partner for Prime Minister Modi's government, which has an ambitious target to grow exports by $1 trillion by 2030.

Allie Renison, a former government trade adviser said: "This is arguably the most economically transformational free-trade deal in the UK's post-Brexit landscape of agreements lined up, particularly because of India's size, growth rate and relatively high barriers to accessing its market.

"While negotiations have been rumbling on for several years with a number of stumbling blocks, it seems this government was keen to resolve them to get the deal over the line," she said.

Why does one need Rishi Sunak when you have Labor lol

Another feather in the bag for PM Modi.

The greatest of all time

Another positive development for Indians is they have mastered the art of looking like victims. That's a wonderful skill to have if you want to get massive sympathy vote in your favor and get the international nations to back you.

Unfortunately that part is not there yet so continue working on it. Toray kaprey aur phaar lo tum saarey to make it look convincing. Take the cue from how rape victims are depicted in Bollywood movies.

And he wanted that acknowledged, did get it acknowledged and got an Islamophobia day approved

ALL without hopping up and down on media, cursing others, threatening to attack other states, violating any international treaties, etc, etc. He gained enough support. So far you have a thenga to show from Trump on the matter and this childish tantrum is nowhere to be seen on international outlets.

So like I said, massive skills but still room for improvement, keep at it- you girls will eventually get it.
