Last few decades have seen Bharat origin people moving abroad at an unprecedented level to an extent today it can be said that a Mini Bharat exists today in almost all the major nations of the world.

Roughly 30 million + people of Bharat origin live abroad right now.

I am expecting by 2100, it could be a 100 million.

Ours is one of the most ancient nations in the world and the birth place of many Sanatani religions like Hinduism, Sikhism, Jainism and Buddhism.

Future generations of people belonging to Sanatan Dharma would always look at Bharat as the Motherland despite living in a different country and holding a different passport. It’s a feeling which will never go away. It’s natural.

Eventually a Bharat Yatra would become one of the most anticipated trips for such people.

All the hundreds of historical sites we take for granted to an extent today would all be extremely reverted pilgrimages at some point.

This has the potential to boost spiritual tourism economy of Bharat.

No wonder the government has already devoted so much to creating a vibe around Sanatan Dharma and related festivals.

India is also the birthplace of Deobandi and Barelvi Islam. So more pilgrims then.

Extremist ideology..

Extremist ideology..

It isn't really an ideology. More a collection of different thoughts and beliefs, some of which are directly contradictory of the others. This is just an attempt to label them all as Indian/hindutva to try and lay claim on them as an umbrella term a bit like the old Goodness Gracious Me skits of yesteryear. They dissolve like sugar in water outside of the subcontinent.

Pilgrimages are for older demographic. India needs to develop infrastructure massively and provide the best conditions for tourists and local visitors. There are too many sightseeing places in India that even local do not visit much due to lack of facilities.

Bharat, the cradle of the human race, the birthplace of human speech, the mother of history, the grandmother of legend, and the great-grandmother of tradition. Our most valuable and most instructive materials in the history of man are treasured up in Bharat only.

I agree there is huge religious tourism potential in some places.

Can you name the top 5 most popular sites ?

In Hinduism, we believe in 4 Dhams as the four most prominent pilgrimage sites. Otherwise there are many more. The 4 Dhams are :-

Badrinath

Dwarka

Jagannath Puri

Rameshwaram

Then there are famous sites like the following :-

Amarnath

Kedarnath

Tirupati Balaji

and of course the OG Kashi Vishwanath , my personal favorite. A piece of history. I think it’s the oldest city in the world that’s still inhabited. This is the heart and soul of our civilization.

Sorry, that's not Hinduism's four most holiest sights, that's only Vaishnavite's most holy sites. For the shaktas, like my family the shaktipiths like Kamakhya or Kalighat holds more significance.

Th re has never been a better time to promote Sanatan to the world.

Looking at these pictures, even with AI I think you guys need to do a lot of improvement and development. Most of them look like they just got plundered yesterday by Moghuls.

That’s what you feel about your religious sites as well or this is just your casual bigotry towards Hinduism.

Honesty hits hard. Don’t put this on anything but your country’s poor management of these sites. You are welcome to watch videos of Kaaba if you want, you will figure it out.

I don't think he even understands or cares. For them plundering idolatory cultures is legit and a sourceof pride. Chosen ones and all that jazz

Saudis also take immense amount of money from Muslims to maintain those facilities. Hajj, Umrah remain expensive elusive pilgrimages.

Your and your fellow countrymen's comments are always very indicative of India's current political zeitgeist.
You live with muslims in your own country, how many do you know go around plundering idols? There are hindu temples and idols in Pakistan, quite a few just in the Sindh province. And the truth of the matter is they dont look any worse for wear and appearance of the bigger holier places within the hindu heartland, in a country run by hindus.

Like I said you want to bury your head in the sand and picture all muslims in the 21st century riding horses with swords coming for you and your moortis, please go right ahead

They dont take any money from Muslims. Yeah, you pay them for the pilgrimage like you would anywhere when you travel but thats about it. There are expenses to travel, boarding/lodging, meals, etc.

The truth is they just happen to be rich and yes they have opened big businesses, hotels, etc because Hajj happens every year and it has become part of their economy. Whether it is by design or a by product, who knows - - but either way it shows how Hindus have failed in this area even thought they got autonomy back over 70 years ago. Most of these pictures look like they are trying to hold the stuff together using matchsticks.

Nah his comment was poorly worded but the truth is that most Hindu...actually most Indian religious sites are badly maintained and regulated. We are a relatively poor country with terrible civic sense on top and it shows.

Comparisons with the Kaaba are pointless though. It's their single religious site maintained by the richest, most religious Muslims and it's obviously in a different class.
