This is what I keep saying Sweep Shot bro. The original custodians of Islam have moved on, they don't see you converts from the sub continent as equal to them. Look at them: doing business with the Hindus, this is not halal.

original custodians of Islam have great relationship with India. They absolutely don't see sub continent Muslims as equal t them. As someone who spent some time in middle east i can tell you that they have absolutely no regards for the Indian/Pak/BD Muslims who look up to them. They basically look down upon sub continent Muslims and consider them only good to serve them.

I have echoed similar statement here for years but so far it keeps falling on deaf ears...

Ah well if they want to live in thier own little world that's their choice.

* 48% Debt taken for consumption and not for asset building
* Stagnating Income during last 10 yrs
* Automation & AI hitting middle class

People are earning more than ever before and the country has moved from worrying about food on the table to what you just mentioned. People want to buy iPhones, want to drive SUVs, eat at restaurants and watch Netflix etc. Basically with Bharat’s per capita income people want to have everything the western countries people are having. It’s not practical and people need to be practical with their spending habits.

Its the same all over the world. Most poor and middle class borrow for sustenance. Not for investing or asset building. They are poorly educated and have no education on how economy works and how to be an entrepreneur. They all tend to have big families and with many mouths to feed, there is no time for anything else. Its a vicious cycle.

India is not a starving country by any means. There is poverty and hunger like in any other country. What should worry India is the lack of protein in the diet. Stunted growth and retardation is a big issue in India. People fill their bellies with low nutrition stuff like rice, pickles, chutneys and other simple carbs fried in horrible palm oil.

If you move past the sensationalist headlines, I would say it's a pretty nuanced view of the Indian economy and the dangers it's facing. He's positive in the short term but concerned about long terms threats like overborrowing for consumption, impact of AI and technology on jobs. While these dangers apply to most countries, developing countries like India are particularly at risk.

I agree with a bunch of things he says but he's obviously being alarmist on a few things like consumer debt. While we're never going to be a high investment nation like China or Germany, we're a long way from consumers carrying the kind of debt they do in countries like the US or UK. Lot of room to course correct yet and in the short term, high consumption relative to income is what is attracting the kind of FDI we're seeing. Hardly anybody views India as a global manufacturing base yet.

LLM models have already started hitting a plateau. Surprisingly decent investment is being done in AI in India. I work in a leading AI company in USA and I am in the knowhow of some of the things happening in India.
Having said that I will gladly take the small victories of people questioning why India did not build it's own models as opposed to earlier sentiment of `We are poor and we should not be thinking of scientific progress`.

The railway travel experience in Bharat has become so much better. The train management, stations infra, train coaches comfort and cleanliness has gone levels ahead of what it used to be a decade ago. Connective between major cities is brilliant. Vande Bharat coaches are transforming rail travel in the country. You have to experience it to believe it. If only our people took care of the facilities like Europeans do things would last long.

Brother there are Chaayos, Chai Point and Vango which are expanding their footprints rapidly at major airports, malls, stations etc and popular markets. They don’t have the deep pockets of Starbucks to make fancy looking showrooms yet but that time also will come.

Don’t berate desi businesses, their time will come soon. Just wait and watch.

I’m not a fan of Chaayos seeking expensive tea though 🤦🏻

This is the kind of working happening in Bharatiya railways. The facilities being provided are top notch and up to standards anywhere in the world. Unfortunately the people will still destroy this infrastructure in matter of weeks and you will find paan gutka stains and litter everywhere, broken stuff. The people in our part of the world don’t know how to use facilities in an civilised manner, they destroy everything unfortunately.

We invest a lot of money on things that get destroyed in weeks while same investment done in Europe , China, US etc stays for decades because public being so careful.

Double standard hypocrisy. Big numbers of them live and earn in muslim countries sending back big amount of remittance to India. Yet they mock and ridicule Muslims and islam. they support Israeli evil saitans openly. Shameless!

Do any of them demand special religious rights or do they cause any protests? They respect local rules and regulations and thats how it should be.

Apple is already sourcing around 20% of all iPhones from India. Insider new is that ther is an massive expansion which has been fast tracked due to recent changes. Original plan was to source around 45% of worldwide iPhone demand from India by end of this decade. But now it may happen in next two years. Apple is also ramping up Brazil. Expect India and Brazil to make up close to 60% in couple of years. One of class mate is a VP in quality and they are recruiting like never before.

These factories are having an actual on the ground impact. Imports in solar industries are coming down. That is unbelievable considering that China is exponentially bigger than anyone
