Bollywood star Akshay Kumar has a number of films in his kitty. During the pandemic alone, the actor has shot over nine projects. From comedy to action, Akshay has done it all. Some of his movies are also very patriotic, however, the actor has made sure that he never says anything wrong or bad about Pakistan that might upset the people of the country.
Patriotic films in Bollywood have often been accused of bad-mouthing the neighbouring country, Pakistan. Likewise, once Akshay too was asked to perform a dialogue against Pakistan for one of his films, Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Saathiyo but the actor refused. Hindustan Times reports that Akshay was adamant on not performing those lines in the film and even threatened to quit if they were not removed from the script.
But Akshay isn’t the only Bollywood actor to have refused to say against Pakistan. John Abraham also demanding the same while filming Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal. In the film, John’s character was indirectly supposed to speak against Pakistan’s cricket team but he refused. He instead requested the lines to be replaced with something that wouldn’t be “hostile”.
