Bomb threat against New Zealand Women's team deemed to be not credible

As per a famous cricket news website there was a threat to NZ women team of bomb in their hotel and also on their plane while their travel back to NZ. However ODI in Leicester is likely to go ahead.

Double standards of the cricketing world are pretty evident from recent developments in my opinion.

As has been reported, the ECB have received a threatening email relating to NZC. Although this did not specifically reference the WHITE FERNS it was treated seriously, investigated, and deemed not credible.

The WHITE FERNS have now arrived in Leicester and, as a precaution, security around them has been boosted. Reports their training has been cancelled are false. They were not scheduled to train today as it was a travelling day. NZC will not be commenting further on the matter.

Absolutely. Pak went right after BD players just escaped that unfortunate incident. NZ acted like nothing has happened just few weeks after that.

Unfortunately its this obvious and at the same time surprising how Kiwis are getting threats out of nowhere in two different countries. I hope for their safety but, these are blatant double standards.

This reeks like a bitter Pakistani fan sending a hoax threat to try get negative publicity for NZC.

Bottom line was this was a NZ government call and that threat was credible as the information was provided directly from 5 eyes intel.

Nothing hypocritical at all. Before the planned Pakistan tour one of the NZ squad received a death threat. The threat was investigated and deemed not credible and the team departed anyway. Then came the threat from last week which was considered to be credible. Now the women's team has received a threat which has been investigated and again deemed non-credible.

NZ is responding to these incidents on a case by case basis. The NZC clearly wanted the tour to go ahead, so much so that they even ignored the advice of their own foreign ministry in departing for Pakistan in the first place. The fact that they've received so many threats in the past month is the real cause for concern. It's not normal.
