The govt passed the law on Anti-Rape (Investigation and Trial) Bill despite no support from both the Nooras and the Crooked PPP. Can these thugs and crooks go any lower.

ask this to Major Mamoon saeedhk

So protecting women and children isn't part of the mafia agenda. As you may know I am not a BB fan( to put it mildly) but she would be ashamed of the PPP under AZ and Billo. Major Mamoon where are you. Are these the thugs you support. Just imagine if IK had opposed this. Both of you would have started threads on this.

There is a reason why this bill doesnt get supported by Bilawal or any liberal and thats because of the chemical casteration point that has been added.

No one supports rape.

Whether you add chemical casteration or hanging, the issue is while you kill the rapist, you dont solve the rape issue.

Whenever rape happens in this country, people come out on social media that rapists should be hanged in public.. And what will that bring? Reduction in rapes? No it will not.

Rapes will not reduce by having such dumb laws, no reduce the number of rapes you did bring social reforms.. Research needs to be done what causes rapes and how we can limit them.

I for one have always believed that the rape problem has been linked to segregation. By keeping genders segregated in a social society you create more problems as when they see or interact with the opposite sex for the first time many people dont know how to behave.

This Anti-Rape bill is just a joke and nothing else. If any person here thinks that rapes will reduce by this bill than they are being delusional.

This is just a pathetic cop-out. What a surprise that you talk a good game but when push came to shove, you backed rapists rights over innocent women and children.

There’s no segregation in western countries, yet they have the highest rate of rape cases in the world.

If you think letting men and women mix will stop rapes then I really don’t know what to say.

Publicly hang the rapists in front of schools and offices, remind the people of the repercussions of committing such a crime. It’s time to put fear into the people for their actions.

you ignored the whole post..... If you want to tag others atleast know how to discuss or debate

And you ignored the right of women anf children not be raped and for perpetrators to face the severest punishment.
The Nooras and PPP are more interested in pleasing their NGO supporters( future asylum claims)than protecting kids and women.

And BTW what makes you think the number of rapes will drop in PK if open mixing was allowed. And how does this help young boys, who are the biggest victims of rape in PK.

Do you understand how the world works?

If public hanging is allowed then GSP+ status with EU will be revoked immediately.

Isn’t Philippines on the GSP+ list? Now, correct me if I’m wrong but, didn’t the President of Philippines give law enforcements a “shoot-to-kill” order on drug users?

Has their GSP+ status been revoked? Lmk

plz show the stats of them being the highest rate of rape cases.

Segregations have its affects and it promotes harrasment.

Why do you think molvis molest kids in madarassahs or kids molest other kids there. Same issue in catholic churches

public hanging helps nothing. Plus its barbaric no matter what. What differiantes you from an uncivilized person is how you conduct yourself in a civilized manner.

Bro, alot of the sexual harrasment and molestation is down to how we interact with the opposite gender.

Its always been my theory and this is based upon how I see the people here. You may agree or disagree with me here.

What I have seen is that as people are kept segregated from the opposite sex, they develop in their minds of the opposite being some piece of flesh that they desperately want. Humans are social animals, they have to interact with each other, you cant lock them away from the opposite gender.

When segregations are done, and as the opposite gender becomes some kind of heavenly thing in peoples mind, that people, mostly men dont know how to intereact.

In Pakistan a common problem is, men will be checking out women, eye balling them, staring direct to their chest and if she passes by take a good look at her ***.

Interestingly, when I went to Uni, 80% of my classmates were those who had studied in segregated highschools, and when they came in to uni where you interact with the opposite, alot of them did not know how to conduct themselves. As many would make childish remarks or take offence or were to afraid to say some particular things as often there were over reactions.

For example being friends with girl here means for many that she is your gf or people spread rumors if one sits next to you. Rumors are spread by those who have never interacted with the opposite genders.

I remember if I told someone that i studied in a school where both genders existed, there first question would be that you must have alot of gfs or there must be alot of behayai etc...

Now by now you must be saying what has this all got to do with rape. It is related. As I mention before, when we dont know to interact and keep making the opposite gender as something huge we end up doing weird acts.

In madarassahs many teachers and students are involved in molesting other males. Its a common practise, and the reason for that is segregation. They have grown up and made to believe that they cant talk or meet the opposite gender which ends up leading to them releasing their sexual fantasizes on the people amongest them..

See, our sex organs are biological, but our sexual orientation develops later on. Even gender is something that is dereived how by the society and not biological itself. Many of madarassah people have their sexual orientation towards other fellow males or male students because thats what they can get their hands on.

Rape isn't as simple as we think it is. and rape wont stop by making laws like cutting of a guys organ. That stops one rapist, but it doesnt stop from more people becoming rapists. What Pakistan needs to do is study and research and take action from the grass root problem.

Segregation promotes a harassment culture which also leads to a rape culture. I was never surprised by Indias rape problem because when i lived there i saw how the men eyeballed the females. They dont even hide it.

Males and Females need to be allowed to interact, but sadly because we are stuck with religion we think this creates more behayai.

Australia has a rape statistic of 91.92,the second highest in the world.

Is there Segregation in Australia? No.

Molvi’s/priest aren’t the only ones that molest kids. We have grooming gangs in the UK that molest kids. There’s no segregation in the UK.

Segregation protects women from men.

Just like you said in the other thread, “overseas Pakistani’s don’t know the ground reality in Pakistan”, I can tell you that most women in the UK are begging for female only train carriages, female only gyms etc. Women in the UK do not feel safe to walk alone at night. Rape is a problem all over the world, and trust me segregation isn’t the issue.

hanging and casteration doesnt stop rape.

If you’re convicted of rape in UAE, you will be publicly hanged.

Why do you think rape cases in the UAE are so low and why do you think women feel safer there?

Plz show sources for your stats. 91 percent is completely false and made up... Plz forvide source.

Saudia arabia has death panelty for drug smuggling, doesnt stop smugglers from making quick buck.

You think beheading solves everything when they dont.

You need to study society and fix it from there

Have fun reading.

Sure, it’s impossible to completely eliminate any sort of crime, but it’s possible to reduce it. Rapists being publicly executed would reduce the number of rapes.

You need to stop siding with rapists bro.

IGs, home secretaries summoned on anti-rape law

ISLAMABAD:

The Senate Standing Committee on Law and Justice on Thursday summoned all provincial police chiefs and home secretaries on the implementation of the anti-rape law.

During a meeting of the Senate panel, its chairman Barrister Syed Ali Zafar lauded the efforts of the government in promulgating the anti-rape law.

However, he added that the main objections in the past had always been about its implementation.

He maintained that since the law was passed, incidents of rapes in all major cities, including Islamabad, had been reported in the press.

He mentioned the case of Farhan and cricketer Yasir Shah, who had been accused of aiding the rape of a 14-year-old girl.

He noted that according to information received by him, the inspectors general (IGs) and home departments were not yet aware of the various provisions of anti-rape law.

“Although strict provisions relating to investigation and medical examination etc. were in place, but they are not being practically followed,” he added.

The committee called the IGs and home secretaries of all the provinces and Islamabad to appear before it on the next date and give details to the panel on how far the new anti-rape law had been implemented. The chairman also directed the Law and Justice Division to provide details of what steps had been taken to implement the anti-rape law.

Zafar further informed the committee that recently some judgments had been rendered by the Supreme Court in which the question of separation of powers between parliament and judiciary was raised. HE added that the scope and parameters of parliament were decided.

He said parliament must safeguard its power and jurisdiction under the Constitution and directed that the details of these cases be presented before the committee on the next date of hearing for consideration.

The committee, which was dealing with various constitutional amendments moved by former Senate chairman Raza Rabbani and others, observed that parliament had the right to pass laws.

IT further observed that the matter of separation of powers between the various organs of the State was of great constitutional concern and the issue therefore needed detailed examination.

Various constitutional amendment were also discussed by the committee on the role of the Senate in coordinating with the provinces and bringing forth their grievances as well as the constitutional power relating to promulgation of ordinances by the President.

However, the discussion on these important constitutional matters could not be concluded as comments from the various departments of the government in the matter were still awaited.

The committee also summoned the record of the past resolutions passed by the Senate regarding the proposed amendments.
