What an entertainer he was on the field.

I wanted to tear my hair out when he kept on getting injured time and again or was involved in controversies, but on his day, a fantastic entertainer, but sadly those great days didn't come round often enough.

I wanted to tear my hair out when he kept on getting injured time and again or was involved in controversies, but on his day, a fantastic entertainer, but sadly those great days didn't come round often enough.

I don’t know if it’s the nostalgia talking but I always felt the that the 90s up until the 2010s was the best era of cricket. You had so many characters and entertainers especially when it came to bowling. Unfortunately I feel fast bowlers and world class spinners are generally on the decline due to the biased unsporting pitches in white ball cricket. And although known more as test player the last entertaining and great fast bowler we saw was Steyn. Not sure if wel see another Shoaib Akhtar / Brett Lee anytime soon.
