Hey guys,

BJP have just received a humiliation in the form of Delhi election results, I think what makes it worse or why it is such a humiliation for BJP is because of the way the election campaign was carried out by BJP, they stooped to the lowest with all the statements from their big wigs and I think it was worst ever campaign ever even by BJP standards.

Although BJP is losing state elections, they are likely gonna lose Bengal, Bihar, Punjab and maybe UP as well in next 2 years but despite that there is no one who can stand upto BJP in 2024 national elections even if they lose all state elections, these are all regional parties who are very strong at state level but fail miserably during national elections as seen in 2019 elections or even before that.

So the question is can AAP challenge BJP in 2024? Kejriwal in his speech to party workers hinted towards same, saying that whole India needs to follow "Kaam ki Rajneeti" rather than communal politics. Can he really step up and move beyond Delhi or can he combine with several other regional strong holds and will that combine include Congress or not to give a fight to BJP in 2024?

At the moment it looks like while BJP may crumble when it comes state level elections, but there is no distant match at national level.

Could be a blip this - normal service will resume in National elections.

1 out of 2 modi supporters votes for AAP for state elections. People should not read too much into it.

AAP has ONE seat in Lok Sabha where BJP has 300+.

It will take a while for AAP to have a pan India presence that is anywhere close to that of BJP.

For that AAP need candidates from all over the country,if they start working at ground level from now it will take 10-15 years and most importantly AAP need to win state election at most of the states, then only they can challenge.

Congratulations to AAP , eventhough I don’t agree with lot of their policies but we need a good opposition.

In 2014, the AAP guy lost his deposit in my constituency. In 2019, they didn't even bother fielding candidates in Karnataka.

Some of the memes are really funny..

Imo, if regional parties collaborate with each other and form a sort of pre-poll alliance(Maha-Gatbandhan as they call it) I believe it could pose a serious challenge to BJP esp if South Indian parties also join the alliance as BJP isn't very strong in southern part.

But I think while it may work out and they may even win but the real problem will begin once they come into power, this fulcrum of parties will break down, alliances really need a daddy figure with others playing a side kick while in this case, no one will neither be a daddy figure nor a side kick. These alliances haven't worked at all when it comes to India whether it's at national level or regional level.

The journey of a 1000 miles begins with a single step.

AAP ain't gonna become a national party overnight.

Nor there is any guarantee it will ever become one.

But it has potential. It will take a long long time.

This is the kind of stuff BJP hopes others will do.

What India needs is a credible PM candidate that everyone can rally behind.

If you have that, then parties helping each other may work.

Otherwise, left on its own, it will be a cakewalk for BJP.
