Afghanistan has still a long way to go, however, they're blessed with something Bangladesh doesn't, which is power hitting. Most Afghan batsmen are currently hacks who don't have great technique or patience, but quite a few of them hit the ball extremely hard.

I think it's a matter of time that they catch up in the skill department. When they do, I can possible see them leapfrog Bangladesh in ODI rankings within 5 years. Bangladesh is ahead in pace bowling but Afghanistan is arguably the best/second best in spin bowling.

I am really surprised to see the natural talent of the Afghan players.

They need some exposure and experience. If they continue to rise and produce more talented players like how they have done in last few years they will equal or surpass BD. AFG has backing of bcci and access to real.good infrastructure. That is a huge advantage for them

I would love to see full series between the two in Bangladesh.

5 ODI, 2 T20is and 2 Tests.

I actually think they would give them a good run for their money.

Honestly a 5 match ODI series between Bangladesh and Afghanistan would be super close right now.
