Just came across this ad. I don’t know who the cringe actors are, as I’ve never seen the (Indian) guy in the ad in any Bollywood movie. People on X are saying it was published by Star Sports before the match and later deleted. However, I couldn’t find any verification, so maybe Indian friends can confirm whether these claims are true.

It was deleted about 2 days before the match as received lot of backlash on X by indian fans who quite rightly pointed out their distaste for such stuff.

with Pakistan its more to do with a mental block, nerves and pressure vs india in tournaments its always been like that.

Pakistan will beat India in bilateral, India realised that in 2013 when Pakistan beat them black and blue after that they chickened out of bilateral

It's amazing how minnow Pak fans think they'd beat India too just because a world class team like South Africa (who were the runner-ups in the previous WT20 and current WTC champions) beat India.

India shot themselves in the foot with the team selection. Axar patel should have played as a genuine spinner, especially since Varun had an off day. Now, India must win all their remaining matches and hope South Africa does the same.
 
Guys pls calm down. India just lost one game in WT20 since 2022. So it was suppose to come someday and I am glad that bad match is out of the way.

I wont lie, India winning everygame made things boring. If anything, this will make the tournament more interesting. As long as Pakistan dont reach finals and the final remain in Shri Shri Narendra Modi Stadium, I am happy.

Gambhir is a dumb coach. When we knew last evening we will not win, why cant he ask his batters to play sensibly and go as close to the total as possible. Everyone was trying to slog and got out.

Gavaskar should mind his own business and stop criticising the Indian team. This is not 2005, when players would listen to him and fans would agree with his views. This is 2026, aaj ka Bharat, where there seems to be no room for self-criticism. He should simply say "Sab Changa Si", otherwise both the players and fans won't spare the poor old man. Some of them have already called him a Pakistani for showing his support towards Imran Khan. :facepalm :inti

It’s not totally in India’s hands now. A few other results need to fall in place for India to go to finals.
India should have at least played full 20 overs and reached 160 to minimize the effect of NRR. If India does not reach finals, they fully deserve it. No title contending team should lose by that big margin.

I do hope they make it to finals. Hope is what Indian fans have now. SA and WI look like real champion teams right now. They deserve to be in the finals.

Yes, that's why I said NRR is not as important as people are making it a big issue.

By the time we play the next match, the South Africa vs West Indies match will be over and we will know everything about our qualifying scenario.

India is not losing to Windies. They are too smart for them. Bumrah alone will eat up the batting lineup.

WI definitely capable of beating SA which if it does happen, will make things interesting.
 
The worst case scenario for India before their game on Thursday is that SA vs WI ends up in super over with WI winning it and SA don't lose any NRR. Then India's remaining two games become dead rubbers. 😀😀
 
If wi beat SAf, its game over for India as all 3 can end up on 4 points but SA and WI have huge nrr advantages at the moment
 
If South Africa beat Zimbabwe then they could purposely lose to Windies just to avoid the possibility of facing India in the final again

This is not a mohalla team. I dare say professional cricketers do not think like that

This is at best a very 'desi' soch.

And what makes some people think that South Africa cannot beat India again? They are a world-class side packed with power-hitters (+bat deep. Few international sides can score 180+ against India after being 3-down in the pp) and a decent spinner in Maharaj. This South African side has shown better pressure-handling skills than their predecessors since 2024.

Winning the ICC Test Championship Final was no mean feat when very few people gave them a chance against Australia... and it was a commanding victory.

Tilak should've been the anchor. Strange to see him slog from the first ball on.

A defeat of this manner where they threw the bat at everything means Ind don't have the smarts (or the runrate) to win this WC. This is SA's cup to lose.

India were unbeaten in T20 World Cup matches since 2022 until this West Indies game.

India are 8–0 against their arch-rivals Pakistan.

So the Indian team is definitely not overhyped.

Meanwhile, Pakistani fans like you celebrating and calling it a “humiliation” for India just because of one loss is honestly funny to watch. Even though in the very same tournament just a week ago your own team got beaten by same India like a Govt mule.

I never expected India to win from the start given how the "experiment merchant" Gambhir completely ruined the players confidence, rhythm by shuffling them all over every match. Random match ups, stupid "gut instintcts" on top of that grudge against guys like Iyer. India lacks the experience to guide these guys to tell them about how to set up the tempo for different pitches. All or nothing attitude doesn't work on these sluggish black soil pitches which they got 2 or 3 already. That is not where they play usually. Bowlers who bowl cutters slower balls, slow spinners can all take away the edge from india on these tracks. But India should still do better than this.

They have played who can adapt to different pitches, Slow pitch, fast pitch etc. Also they are very much used to these surfaces. So it was not a shocking event.

To qualify for Semis- All India needs to do is :
- Beat Zimb by a big margin
- hope Saf win both their matches
- Beat WI

If WI beat SAF, then the last game vs WI- India should have their calculations ready, prepare & select the team accordingly & act.

Doable, Difficult but not Impossible.

Actually South Africa’s top 6 is better than India’s.

India has the edge in spin bowling

- Quinton de Kock better than Ishan Kishan
- Aiden Markram = Abhishek (hit or miss player)
- Tilak Verma better than Ryan Rickleton
- SKY= Dewald Brevis (has already impressed in his short career)
- David Miller better than Shivam Dube
- Tristan Stubbs = Hardik Pandya.

India is unlikely to collapse as badly if the two sides meet again.

But first things first

India must beat an in-form (but hit or miss) Windies side in the last game.

The only person who has called Sunny Gavaskar a 'pakistani' for extending his support for Imram Khan, doing a commendable humanitaian thing by showing his solidarity and asking for fair medical treatment is you, which is not surprising considering your termite default settings. Faila hua hai idhar like raita whenever anything negative about india is to be told.

When you lose in that fashion the moment things get tough it sure is a "humiliation". You talk a lot so yes it is a humiliation when you get rolled over in that fashion, just like how you faced an epic one at home against Australia final. All the shananigan about money, we the best and IPL and just winning 2 out of 9 T20 trophies is embarassing enough already for the so called delusional "mights".

Not sure what Pakistan has to do with this. We don't sing songs about our team being the greatest, invincible, the best etc. They ll likely be done with the tournament tomorrow, but doesn't mean we can point out other teams especially the ones whose fans here run their mouth a lot about their average team, it's a cricket forum

Wow , one defeat and overdrive mode here. Expected I guess , cos you were all jeous of Ind team's success.. Ind won the last 20.plus T20 WC games or so in a row. In a really fickle format like T20s, that is absolutely crazily insane and dont think that will ever be replicated. Similar to the 2003-2007 period of Aus ODI dominance where even winning a single odi match against them was considered special. If pak had won 20 T20 WC games in a row, there would 1000s of posts and bhangra. My opinion would still be the same if Pak did it because that would be something very extraordinary and would take my hat off. Steve Waugh Ricky Ponting never gave any excuses when they lost and thats why I like Sky, hr doesn't give any BS excuses.

So yeah Ind lost and lost badly. Its just one freaking game for Christ sake. But champion teams respond back when their backs are to the wall . Aus in 1999 won 5 games in a row after carrying forward 0 points. Eng in 2019 had must win games against Ind and went on to win the WC . And inboth cases, they were the faves to win those WCs , yet were almost at the brink of eliminated but came back roaring to win the WC. Thats what champion teams do and relish that opportunity. I weirdly like it that Ind is in this situation, gives them a chance to show how good they really are. This 2026 WC Ind team is IMO better than the 2024 one, I honestly had no expectations from the 24 team but this 2026 WC Ind team is so good that anything less than the WC win would be a massive disappointment. Its time for them to stand up and deliver when the chips are totally against them and I strongly believe WC winning teams will step up to that.

Its shows in enjoying right now. We can recover with in few days but minnow Pakistan hasn't recovered from Asia cup 2023 phainta yet.
