I am a bit worried to say the least! Pakistan confidence must be low and visitors seem to have a lot of it.

So simple question.

Can we avoid a whitewash?

Pakistan were supposed to win 3-0.

However, things have changed now. Momentum is with SL. I think SL will win 3-0 if Pakistan play Akmal and Shehzad again.

Pakistan will feel the pressure now - margin of error is very small so they need to tread very carefully

I will tune in, just see to see if Akmal and Shehzad are gonna play or not...

Please Misbay, play them both so I can win $200 bet from my brother ( Tujhe tuk tuk ke laqab ki kasam hai) :D

Let’s hope it is a whitewash.

The folly of replacing an experienced, qualified coach with one with zero credentials plus a conflict of interest needs to quickly end in tears.....for Misbah.

no lets not hope anything like that at all.

I would like us to put in a good performance so that our next series is better

Would be interesting to see if magically Umar and Shehzad score big in this game

Having already lost the series, Pakistan have batting concerns to address in the third and final Twenty20 International against Sri Lanka in Lahore.

Pakistan v Sri Lanka, 3rd T20I
Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore
Wednesday, 9 October; 6:30pm local, 01:30pm GMT

Pakistan have suffered top-order failures in each of the first two T20Is. Babar Azam, who is No.1 on the MRF Tyres ICC T20I Rankings for batsmen, has endured a couple of rare failures and has left the team's batting looking frail.

While Babar's dip in form could be a cause for some worry, it is imperative that those around him start contributing too, especially with the ICC Men's T20 World Cup just a year away.

Sri Lanka's bowlers have been on the money and they haven't let the absence of mainstays like Lasith Malinga and Akila Dananjaya be felt in this series. Nuwan Pradeep has led the attack from the front, with seven wickets. Isaru Udana and Wanindu Hasaranga have been among the wickets as well, while Kasun Rajitha has bowled economically.

The visiting team's batsmen have done well too, with Bhanuka Rajapaksa being a revealation in particular. He followed up his 32 from his debut game with 77 in the next.

Sri Lanka were in some bother at 41/2, with Danushka Gunathilaka and Avishka Fernando dismissed, but Rajapaksa took the opportunity to go big. His 48-ball 77, featuring six sixes and four fours, laid the foundation for the team's total of 182/6. Pakistan's chase got off on the wrong foot, as openers Babar and Zaman were sent back cheaply. Hasaranga then ran through the middle order to leave Pakistan tottering at 52/5. Imad Wasim's 29-ball 47 gave the hosts something to cheer about, but it was curtains once he was trapped in front by Udana.

What they said

Misbah-ul-Haq, Pakistan coach: "Despite being inexperienced, they were disciplined and did everything right, while we completely failed to implement our plan."

Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Sri Lanka batsman: "The difference between the Pakistan side and the Sri Lankan side – I think we were the second-string side. A lot of experts were saying we were underdogs as well. So we had less pressure."

Conditions

Going on the evidence of the previous two matches, batting will get tougher in the second innings. The weather should be dry and warm again.

What a waste of series!!!! Misbah could even try 2-3 brand new young players even in the last match from outside the squad. As a home team you have this type of luxury. But this guy is mentally too weak and too crook.Really disgusted with fake useless MD Wasim Khan to appoint another useless person like him

Wishlist

1)Useless-Akmal gets another 1st ball duck (as necessary as salt in Chicken Tikka)
2)Selfie-Shahzad goes for another 15 ball 6
3)Wahab gets plundered for atleast 40
4)Shadab gets the other 40 (or bad enough to be sent to domestic for 1 whole season so the idiot can get back into his skin, understand he is not a star and make efforts to improve and become a player deserving of his place)
5)Faheem gets plundered for another 40 so tht more deserving all-rounder like Aamer Yamin and or Ammad Butt can get a chance
6)Babar and Harris to win us the game (given my wish of 120 from 12 overs above, both need to score heavy )
7) Hussnain needs to find his grove ... he is only1 i am actually not p!$$3d about whatever he does, atleast he is young and has an oppertunity to learn and grow

8)someone from the crowd throws a shoe at misbah for putting the team and fans through this misery (icing on the cake)
