I find it hilarious that when someone actually performs (scores 100 = Kohli, takes 5-fers Ashwin) then people make 100 excuses to put them down. But when someone actually is not performing great (Amir) the same person will find a 100 excuses why (cloud, swing, etc.) I think thats caled hypocrisy
Amir is no great Indians mostly suggest that tbh but yes he needs the clouds as much as Kohli needs the flat pitch but Amir hasn't had a horrid tour on flat pitches and has been decent if not spectacular while Kohli looked worse then a tailender when faced with a bit of lateral movement. What's nonsensical is advocating the greatness of Virat Kohli and putting him on a level playing field of past legends when his prowess has only been proven on flat pitches that too against bowling attacks that don't compare to that of yesteryear.
Lol there was never any doubt let's be honest
Not a chance.. He won't suppress VVS Laxman

Virat already has left VVS far behind.
The funny thing is, everyone knows it. But a few in this forum/thread are too biased against him (He is Indian) And their ego doesnt allow them to accept the truth and give credit where its absolutely necessary.
Its a good laugh though. Its ridiculous sometimes. Trolls!
I expect Kohli to score around 40-45 100's in tests and slightly more in Odi cricket.

Virat Kohli was already miles better than KW, Root, Smith in LOI's even though they are phenomenal but this spark in Tests makes him the best batsman in the world by far. Hash and AB were tough competitors but with Amla's decline and AB missing some games and age catching up, not too sure about that.
Lets count him out. 1 series does not make a decline.
Where are those who said he wouldn't be am elite test batter ?![]()
Just 2 more years before he becomes a second tier ATG like Dravid. He will be a tier 1 ATG if he can sustain his performance for 5 more years (especially overseas)

A few were arguing that Inzamam was a much better Test batsman than him, and it's doubtful that he would reach Inzamam's level in that format![]()
Same posters become "busy" when Kohli starts scoring.
How long have you been watching cricket? Just curious.
2nd tier ATG like Dravid? lolz! Why dont you pass me whatever you're smoking?
?? What do you disagree with? You think Dravid is tier 1 or tier 3?
If Steven Smith with his weak away record is ATG for people, then for sure Kohli is a certified Test ATG.![]()
Steve Smith's away record is pretty good..

Top tier ATG.

Exactly. Cant believe we are still having this discussion.Scored hundreds every where on every kind of pitch. This man is already an ATG. By the time he hangs up his boots, he will be a GOAT
