That was his point - no amount of fake nationalism is going to change the fact you as a Muslim will face open discrimination in India.

This is what is called 2 dimensional thinking.

The point here is not how rich Kaif is. Putting religion aside for a second, Kaif comes from a humble background and had decent talent, worked very hard.

some might say he over achieved and some say he under achieved with the talent he has . I can see both arguments.

However Kaif is a rags to riches story and the point being here is he put his head down and worked honestly and reaps the benefits. This shows that in India it’s not about religion. Put your head down and work hard and success follows without any bias or prejudice. No one pigeon holes Kaif as a Muslim cricketer. He is an indian cricketer who gave fans some memorable moments to cherish. Unfortunately since it is a Pakistan forum we have to bring his religion to make a point which we don’t see often in India. Same goes for any other Muslim Athlete,Artist,Entrepeneur or blue and white

You need to look at his case. ECB banned him and ICC asked to follow through with punishment in all jurisdictions. The trio bans were limited.

PCB didn’t give any support to the trio apart from amir either. And the reason for Amir’s support is he accepted his guilt and asked for support. Kaneria didn’t accept his guilt just like Butt and Asif and as a result he wasn’t extended any support either

PCB supported Amir. Not the other two in the trio.

And for the trio and Kaneria it went with the punishment handed by ICC and/or ECB.

If it were supporting all of the trio then Asif and Butt might have returned to Pakistani colors too since initially their performances in domestics upon return was good too.

Finally. Even when the case was happening with kaneria. PCB didn’t ban him and he continued playing domestics till 2012 eventhough case happened in 2010 or so. It’s only when ICC mandates ECB punishment to be extended everywhere was Kaneria also stopped from playing domestics. Clearly PCB wasn’t in any hurry to ban him.

Not sure why you are investing in all the legal and law points.

My pov is clear I think I have stated multiple times that any player who brings disrepute to the game no matter at what level should Or under whatever circumstances should be life banned.

Doesn’t matter what the circumstances are, A pakistan player especially a test player of some repute being banned is PCB’s problem. Wasn’t Asif caught with drugs in Dubai of all places? Why did PCB get involved? They could have let the Dubai government give whatever the punishment was, couldn’t they?

Anyways I don’t care if Kaneria is Hindu or not I see him as a Pakistani. Not my problem however I see PCB bending backwards for people with much larger crimes. However my response was the taunt about Kaif and other Muslim cricketers and trust me they are doing way better than the minority cricketers of Pakistan of should I say rather majority of Pakistan cricketers ever.
