The 2024 Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League will take place from 28 August to the 6 October. The final will once again take place in Guyana with the National Stadium in Providence hosting the conclusion of the Men’s event for the third year.

The tournament plans to have matches in Antigua & Barbuda, Barbados, Guyana, St Kitts & Nevis, Saint Lucia and Trinidad & Tobago, Once again, the window for the CPL will not clash with West Indies fixtures so the best Caribbean talent will be on show at the Biggest Party in Sport.

The window also allows CPL franchises to sign the best available international players after successful discussions with other leagues to avoid the same clashes we had in 2023. The newest franchise in the Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League (CPL) has been launched. The Antigua & Barbuda Falcons were officially unveiled during a gala opening ceremony hosted by the franchise owners – WORLDWIDE Sports Management Group. Parimatch, the number one global gaming platform will proudly serve as the Title Sponsor of the team.

The event was held on Tuesday evening at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, which will be the home of Antigua & Barbuda Falcons when they compete in the 2024 edition of the Republic Bank CPL – the Biggest Party in Sport.

Krishna (Kris) Persaud, Founder and President of WORLDWIDE Sports Management Group was thrilled as he showcased the new team’s name and the colorful and dynamic logo for the first time to excited guests. Mr. Persaud also expressed delight in having the team officially on board for the regional event, which attracts sold-out audiences for matches.

Details on the overall structure of the Antigua & Barbuda Falcons and the coaching and management staff for the team will be announced at a later date.

REPUBLIC BANK CARIBBEAN PREMIER LEAGUE FIXTURES CONFIRMED

The fixtures for the 2024 Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League (CPL) have been confirmed with the tournament set to run from Thursday 29 August to Sunday 6 October. For the first time since 2019 the event will visit six host countries with matches set to take place in Antigua & Barbuda, Barbados, Guyana, St Kitts & Nevis, Saint Lucia and Trinidad & Tobago.

There will be 34 matches in total with each of the six teams playing 10 group matches. The knockout stages will take place in Guyana with the home team, the Guyana Amazon Warriors, looking to defend the title they won in 2023.

The tournament gets underway with the newest CPL franchise, the Antigua & Barbuda Falcons, hosting their nearest rivals the St Kitts & Nevis Patriots. The tournament will have two legs running concurrently with all six teams hosting home matches.

KLAASEN AND DU PLESSIS HEADLINE KINGS SIGNINGS​

The Saint Lucia Kings have confirmed the players they have retained and signed ahead of the Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League (CPL) draft. They have 12 confirmed players for the 2024 season and will have five spots to fill at the draft in July.

The Kings will feature South African superstars Faf du Plessis and Heinrich Klaasen who will give serious firepower to the Saint Lucian franchise’s batting line up in 2024. The Kings have also secured the services of Afghan left arm spinner Noor Ahmed, Namibian seam bowling all-rounder David Wiese and Sri Lanka top order batter Bhanuka Rajapaksa.

They have retained the core of Caribbean players that helped them secure a fourth consecutive playoff spot in 2023 with Johnson Charles, Alzarri Joseph, Roston Chase, Matthew Forde and Khary Pierre all returning for 2024.

Seam bowlers Shadrack Descarte and McKenny Clarke round out their retentions as the Kings look to secure their first CPL title in 2024.

DE KOCK AND MILLER RETURN FOR THE ROYALS

The Barbados Royals have confirmed the players they have retained and signed ahead of the Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League (CPL) draft. They have 14 confirmed players for the 2024 season and will have three spots to fill at the draft in July.

South African batters Quinton de Kock and David Miller return for the Royals in 2024 to give their lineup explosive power. Overseas bowlers Maheesh Theekshana, Naveen ul Haq and Keshav Maharaj will also be with the Barbados franchise this season.

The Royals will have retained West Indies T20 captain Rovman Powell along with hugely experienced all-rounder Jason Holder. Left arm seamer Obed McCoy and exciting youngster Ramon Simmonds are also returning for the Royals.

The Royals have also retained Rahkeem Cornwall, Alick Athanaze and Kevin Wickham for this year, along with Nyeem Young and Rivaldo Clarke.

A very low quality league where lower than avarage players like azam khan and ayub are top performers but are horribly exposed against international quality. I first saw Saim playing for Amazons. He did very well and I thought here is a good new player for Pakistan. I heard Azam destroys spinners in PSL. They forget to mention LOW Quality, Only to see them badly fail against NZ, Aus ,England and Ireland. performing in leagues and in international games are two entirely different things.

HASARANGA AND ROSSOUW JOIN PATRIOTS FOR CPL 2024

The St Kitts & Nevis Patriots have confirmed the players they have retained and signed ahead of the Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League (CPL) draft. They have 13 confirmed players for the 2024 season and will have four spots to fill at the draft in July.

Sri Lankan leg spinner Wanindu Hasaranga and South African opening batter Rilee Rossouw headline their 2024 signings, with Zimbabwean international Sikandar Raza and hugely exciting Sri Lankan seam bowler Nuwan Thusara also in the squad. Their final overseas signing is South African batter Tristan Stubbs.

The local players the Patriots have retained include Evin Lewis, Sherfane Rutherford and Andre Fletcher. The Patriots have also secured the services of Odean Smith who has been transferred from the Guyana Amazon Warriors.

TIM DAVID AND JASON ROY JOIN TRINBAGO KNIGHT RIDERS

The Trinbago Knight Riders have confirmed the players they have retained and signed ahead of the Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League (CPL) draft. They have 15 confirmed players for the 2024 season and will have two emerging player spots to fill at the draft in July.

The Knight Riders have signed Australian batter Tim David for the 2024 season. David has had success in the CPL in the past with the Saint Lucia Kings. They have also secured the services of experienced and explosive England international Jason Roy.

USA international Ali Khan and Afghan spinner Waqar Salamkheil will return to the franchise for the 2024 season. The Knight Riders have also signed Ireland left arm seamer Josh Little.

The Knight Riders have retained the core of Caribbean players that took them to the final at the 2023 tournament with Andre Russell, Kieron Pollard, Sunil Narine and Nicholas Pooran all back with the Trinidad franchise.

PAKISTANI TRIO HEADLINE FALCONS SIGNINGS FOR 2024

The Antigua & Barbuda Falcons have confirmed the players they have signed ahead of the Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League draft. They have 12 confirmed players for the 2024 season and will have five spots to fill at the draft in July.

The Falcons will feature Pakistani internationals Mohammad Amir, Imad Wasim and Fakhar Zaman, all of whom are currently featuring in the T20 World Cup which is taking place in the Caribbean and USA.

Their overseas contingent will be rounded out by Australia’s Chris Green and Afghan all-rounder Azmatullah Omarzai.

Brandon King and Fabian Allen will be part of the Falcons squad for 2024 as well as hugely exciting Antiguan batter Jewel Andrew who starred at the Under 19 World Cup earlier this year.

AMAZON WARRIORS CONFIRM OVERSEAS PLAYERS FOR 2024

The Guyana Amazon Warriors have confirmed their overseas signings ahead of the 2024 Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League (CPL).

The Warriors welcome back the overseas cohort that led them to their inaugural CPL championship in 2023. Joining them will be Rahmanullah Gurbaz who was part of their squad in 2022.

Imran Tahir, the man who captained them to their first title last year, is back with the team for this season.

Saim Ayub, the explosive opener, will be back in 2024 along with fellow Pakistan international Azam Khan.

Gurbaz scored two half centuries when he was with the Warriors in 2022 and he will be back with the franchise for this season.

The Warriors have three more spots to fill in their squad and this will be done at the draft in July. There squad ahead of the draft is below:
