Sarfaraz has not only played a crucial match-winning innings in this tournament but has also been the best captain by miles. He should be the first name on the teamsheet with the armband on his person.

Hassan and Junaid have been two of the best bowlers and get in there on the back of their fantastic average along with the fact that Pakistan have kept teams to a score of below 250, thrice in this tournament. Two of those teams were England and South Africa.

Fakhar Zaman may be new but he's been superb in this CT. Dhawan and Rohit's tuk tuk has no place in a World XI and thus, Zaman breaks the monotony by replacing Rohit, whose only innings of note has come against Bangladesh.

Dhoni is by far the better batsman compared to Sarfraz, and better behind the stumps as well. Its not close, in spite of Dhoni slowing down on the batting front.


I almost went with Morkel, but decided to go with Mark Wood due to England making the semi-final. Rashid vs Tahir, I think Tahir is markedly better.

I'd be tempted to go with Morgan as Captain for this all-star team. I do respect him a lot for the transformation of the England ODI side.

Top 3 sort themselves out pretty much but would drop rohit sharma as he hasnt had the impact of fakhar zaman... wood , starc, rabada , mustafiz, bumrah, yadav , morkel were below par , apart from a game here n there... hazelwood was only 1 tht impressed from the teams tht didnt make it to semis so my XI
