Muhammad Abbas is on 59 Test Wickets from 10 Test Matches. He needs 41 from 6 Test matches to equal Lohmann’s record of 100 test wickets in 16 Test Matches.
Abbas can surely take 20-22 wickets in South Africa. It depends if he can take 20 odd wickets vs New zealand.

Yasir Shah’s task is easier he is on 173 test wickets from 30 Test Matches. He needs 27 wickets from 6 Test matches to equal Grimmett’s record of 200 wickets in 36 tests.

Yasir can take 20 odd wickets against Nzl. He will then need only 7 wickets in 2 tests vs South Africa.

As long as both these guys reach their milestones by early next year, I'll be happy. Been a while since a Pakistani bowler reached 200 wickets. This is despite Pakistan being blessed with some fantastic bowlers over the last decade such as Akhtar, Asif, Amir and Ajmal.

Yasir can get there if he hits form but he seems to be struggling these days.

Abbas would need another freakish series against NZ. Hard for any bowler to keep this sort of performance up for long

Easy for Yasir but hard for abbas.3 tests are in UAE so you can't expect a fast bowler to perform in these conditions every time
