Allow me to state it in non-cricketing terms for you here then.
Political comebacks are extraordinarily common in Pakistan. The Sharifs and Bhuttos switched off having control of the country in the 90s until the military coup. Even Sharif came back after 12 years despite having been disposed of by Musharraf, and Benazir (and Zardari) came back as well. There's no military coup in place now to delay a come back, and overseas Pakistanis are likely to push the financial backing to bring IK back to power. IK has not been charged with any crime. He is not in jail. A lawsuit to put him on the ECL failed for a simple reason-he's too honest and straightforward to engage in the thievery and fraud that the Bhuttos/Zardaris and Sharifs did.
As bad as things are now-in 6 months they will be worse, and if other posters are correct, the rank and file and mid-level leadership in the military is angered at what has been done to IK. The country will quickly see that the inflation, a worldwide problem, and liquidity crisis were not due to IK's mismanagement-they happened because of COVID and because exports are still in the process of rising. Do you honestly expect the "new" leadership to let that continue when all they've ever done is enrich themselves at the cost of the average Pakistani? They don't know how to leave well-enough alone and let the businessmen of Pakistan, who are in the best position to help boost the country, to do their job and grow the Pakistani economy to a point that we never face these types of crises again.
