Check-in procedures when flying to Pakistan

Does anyone know why can’t passengers check in online when flying internationally to Pakistan? I cannot check in online when flying into Pakistan and same goes for my wife - who is a Pakistani citizen. Hence cannot use the mobile boarding passes which is a real shame

All airlines that I have encountered direct me to check in with a gate agent - which is not the end of the world but takes up extra time and obviously inconvenient.

Same goes when flying out of Pakistan...

Anyone know the reasoning and policies behind this?

P. S. not sure about procedures when flying domestically in Pakistan and whether online check in is allowed. Anyone with experience please do shed some light on this matter

How dare you think of going to Pakistan or using a Pakistani airline.

May be it depends on the airline.

I always fly emirates and have never had any issues checking in online.
