People who claim to have the some sort of psychics power of seeing the dead, or future or objects or actions beyond the range of natural vision exist for real?

Have you ever met such people?

And if they did exist, then why cant they change this damn world to have a meaningful and positive impact on our lives.

Yes - I have met some. Not mystic meg types or mind readers but more like Sufi malangs who have attained a high degree of spirituality through a life of devotion and zhikr.

I guess using popular culture as an example they would be more akin to Jedi from star wars ( minus the light sabre and moving objects), people with a deep connection to the force that seem able to very quickly size a persons personality up and also pierce into the future. Perhaps the ability to forecast the future is more down to being students of human behaviour/needs.

People like this exist and change the world at a micro level through one to one discussions with people/advise rather than through grandiose gestures.

I can give one example, having reread the OP perhaps it isn't what you are looking for but here goes anyway :

At a gathering in Pakistan we were sitting with these Sufiam types- I hadn't really been interested in Sufism in my younger days and was automatically dismissive of those that relied on the influence of sufi masters...in Pakistani society these guys get a bad rep due to fake peers.

Anyway without going into too much detail the guy we were speaking to managed to give some words of respite to one my cousins gathering to you are overburdened this time will be different, relax and leave it in Allahs hands, remember the story of Zakriya (as)

He had no way of knowing ( and neither did we know at the time) that my cousin had been trying for a baby with his wife for many years but had unfortunately always miscarried and during the time of the gathering she was preganant (she lwasnt present) and psychologically they were both struggling at the thought of going through that again.

My cousin told us this many months after and we were curious as to how he could have known.

The Indians on the forum would disagree but I would wager my life on the fact that Modi will consult Hindu Astrologer before making a major decison.

Similarly Imran Khan is quite open about the relationship he has with a sufi I think his name may be Mian Bashir and in his book Imran speaks about his ability to read the future.

Now the above may be mumbo jumbo but it shows that humans are imo predisposed to believe that such people exist and furthermore will often try to avail their services.

There are such people all over the youtube like this Peer Pinjar Sarkar man who is always wrong about his predictions yet he persists with his nonsense. According to him Trump was supposed to die last year then Joe Biden was to fall seriously ill. When proved wrong such people just twist their words to justify their fallacy.

Some years back clairvoyants would write to me from allover Europe promising glad tidings if I did this or that. So one letter repeatedly kept arriving from France encouraging me to send some money in exchange for everything under the sun. I decided instead of posting the money I'd go to France to see this great lady with magical powers. Upon reaching there was no such place at all as printed on the letter just like I had thought:kakmal Stayed for a few days in a hotel taking in the Barca-Real match then returned home:wa

If such people can tell the future then I suggest they improve their own lives!! It is all fake.

I meant watched some French domestic match that time not El Clasico. I have seen the El Clasico one too though.

Yes, I think so. I have spoken to a few and found them to be quite convincing.

My grand parents believe in these babas and i have me one. I showed the guy a picture of meddelein mccain. He said to me she was alive but is in the custody of some very bad people.. i asked whether she would be found, he said no and her location is in the same country from she was kidnapped.

I dont know if what he said was true or not.

If i do meet him next time, i wanna know if OJ did it or not and how he did it

The fact that educated people still believe in fairy tails is just so amusing.

People can be so gullible.

Interesting. Could the person your cousin met be a mind reader then?

I just find this whole science of astrology and the human reliance on it fascinating.

So the baba was just making a wild guess on Madeliene.

There is no tax on making guesses, right?

Any example you could share James? What was so convincing?

Like DeadlyVenom said, spiritually sensitive people will infer things about you and family members / friends that they could not possibly know in any earthly or known sense, and they use this knowledge to nudge you in the right direction and help you make future decisions.

My mum also told me that someone with “the sight” who she had never met before correctly predicted the time and manner of her dad (my grandfather’s) death, which came several years later.

I myself am convinced that I have been visited by two deceased older relatives in dreams (once each) shortly after their died, but due to the strange nature of dreams, this could of course just been my own mind playing tricks on me. Either way — these experiences felt quite powerful and were big positive steps in the grieving process on both occasions.

i dont know man. Could be true could be not.

I once lost my house keys and the guy helped me locate them on the phone. Told me to look in the certain area of the garden and valla, the house keys were there in the garden

im highly skeptical, however my brother who is very similar to me had a a meeting once with a very old sikh or hindu gentleman who sat next to him on a bus, they began talking and the guy said to my brother im so happy for you you that you have a new lady in your life, he also mentioned other smaller things which also struck a cord with my brother however he still thought anyone could have guessed those . My brother was a bit confused as he had been married a few years, next day his mrs told him she was pregnant, 7/8 months later he welcomed a new born daughter into his life. My brother has always been a logical person but even to this day he is convinced the person he met that day was a psychic or other.

Less mind reader more fraudster

TBH its hard to convince people regarding such things. Only when you get to experience them only than does one says maybe there are such people.

I was sitting in Canada, Brampton. As i mentioned before my grand parents are into these babas and they had one baba visiting them at their place. So my grandparents called us while I was in Canada and he was in Pakistan and they did their dumm through phone.

Now a very interesting event happened during that dumm on phone. As he read the quranic verses, there was scent of attar coming out of the phone. That freaked me out like what was happened. We never had any attar in Canada. There was no attar in the room, thus, it was not possible that anyone had used attar on clothes. THe smell was coming from the phone and in heavy quantity. It was for a whole good minute, i remember that I even kept asking myself whether i was actually smelling the scent or was it just my brain memory bringing up the scent of attar in my conscious brain as i was talking to a baba. But it was not that because I was concious and in every inhale i did of the air, i could smell attar.

After the dumm was done, i didnt again feel that smell.......

I have had a brief out of body experience [OBE] before and was floating above my bed looking at myself laid there. Then I flew back into myself and woke up with a start. Not really relevant to the OP but some things are really weird.

Im not sure, perhaps a good reader of human beings and was able to put two and two together faster than most people were.

Give Imran Khans book a read if you haven't already - it seems like he met one such individual.

These people do not consultant the stars though so its probably incorrect to call them astrologists. Astrology is more of a hindu 'science' imo but there are a few charlatans in Pakistan etc

God is clairvoyant. But even God doesn't want to change the world. Why clairvoyant people should?

Mrs Robert insists that she can see ghosts.

What is a ghost?

As for the OP, these usual clairvoyants are nothing but a scam.

Just use a little common sense, if they could know the future, they would have won the lottery many times.

few points raised here, my take

1. some people are extremely perceptive of body language, and in the presence of a so called "holy man" im pretty sure most people who have even some level of belief in the paranormal, etc, would let off very obvious cues to anyone who knows what to look for. so thats how these people can direct very generalised comments towards people and appear to know something inside them.

2. it is very easy to make general comments and then build on to whatever people react to. most peers and babas are abusing someones emotional trauma to get them into a state where they become very open to suggestion, then they can say all sort of stuff and the person believes it is resonating them.

3. the james randi prize existed for a long time, willing to pay out to anyone who could prove their paranormal powers, no one ever won it. if anything it is wild guesswork that when applied to hundreds of people ends up being true for someone, and if u can convert even 1% of ppl u encounter into believers u can make a good living.

I don't believe in mediums and fortunetellers, but an incident happened about 6 months ago that made me think twice.
This guy works for me, his girlfriend's mom passed away in 2019. In 2021 they went on a vacation to Boston, and his girlfriend visited a medium. The medium told her that she was able to communicate with her dead mom and the mom told her that there is something wrong in her body and she need to go to the doctor immediately.
When this told me that incident, I asked him not to worry about it because these mediums scam people. Two weeks later he calls me late in the evening to tell me that his girlfriend laid down because she was tired and never woke up. The autopsy revealed she has 90% blockage and died of heart attack.

Why did his gf visit a 'medium'? Perhaps she knew something but didnt tell him.

If they can know medical issues, they should be given jobs in hospitals.

I think everyone is born with a battery of “dark senses” such as electromagnetic sense, which children know how to use, which is how they have “imaginary friends” and so on.

But the ability to use the dark senses gets trained out of us by education as we grow up so the imaginary friends disappear from perception.

A few people retain the ability to use these senses, and some are just naturally better with them, the way that Joe Root is better at hitting cricket balls than most of us.

As for changing the world or not changing it, I think some of these people are good and some are bad.
