Clash of powerhouses: Azam Khan and Shivam Dube - who will achieve more success?

Azam Khan's weight contributes directly to his problems facing the short ball. There's no way he's going to survive international bowling especially when teams have been analyzing him.

He probably does okay in Pakistan because of the slow nature of the wickets. But he won't be able to handle the direct bouncers / short of length deliveries aimed at his body.
He cant play pace/ short balls. Just watch how Mark Wood made him look like a scared kid.

There is a reason his average is 8 LOL.

I hope the mods reopen this thread

If you go over it what you will find is Misbah’s biggest cheerleader throwing a tantrum because their lack of intelligence was called into question.

I’m sorry but if anyone thinks 40/0 is better than 66/1 after 6 overs, then they need to get their head examined.

Bro there is a whole squadron of them. A bloke called @Extra_Cover trying to go over and beyond to provide “extreme cover” to the scam

Let’s not forget the dou number @shariqnoor too who has to provide his nonsense to look different

What you are saying makes sense for a normal person. Not someone who's playing international cricket.

At this point. The only thing he can do is do his regular workouts and eat only egg whites/white meat. No red meat as well.

He might require a bit if carbs on match days but as low a carb diet without it being totally keto.

He needs the body to start burning his body fat and not still eat enough proteins so that the muscle damage isn't there.

Takes a lot of work and is something that should have been done when he was 17.
Yeah me saying a year was just marketing lol but honestly if he can stick to it for 6 months it will become habitual and from there year 2 and 3 will go by and he’ll have his fitness. He’s still young. Sports pro or regular person at his weight and fitness rn there’s no difference- the difference is in cricket skill. So no need for a complicated protocol that he may being sold to rn .

Enough protein to maintain muscle mass and not crash diet like Nasir Jamshed did and then complained about getting weak with weight loss.

Red meat isn’t an issue either, everything in moderation. Eggs like you said, fish, etc etc

Center carbs only immediately before and after training sessions. And a 600-700 calorie deficit to start.

Simple. People complicate it- but that’s all it really is and then just get stronger over time.

Idk which ex cricketer said it but it was along the lines of Azam not being dedicated enough to cricket… and unless he has an actual condition (no- being big boned is NOT an excuse lol) then it’s sadly true.

In this day and age fitness should be a given. They don’t even have fat and obese NFL players iirc these days either and in that sport you have to be a literal wall so it makes some sense.

A sport where you need balance, power, timing, stamina and a strong base- it makes no sense to be a twig who can’t lift the bat up nor obese. Need strength and conditioning. One of Dhoni’s strengths was he had very strong legs, that played a part in why he was able to muscle the ball just standing still.

There are always cricketers who are genetically prone to being fat. Cricketers like Rohit Sharma. You know that he's going to get fat if and when he stops working out. But most of those cricketers have the work ethic to maintain their body weight.

Rohit still got criticism (rightly) for his weight at times. But he's looking fitter now.

The time in cricket has gone when guys like aravinda de Silva , Arjuna ranatunga , inzamam ul haq could play.

So let me try to get this. You tagged me in a thread for "Azam Khan vs Shivam Dube" where I don't even have a single post on the thread topic for the subject of being Misbah's biggest cheerleader, wow. I don't know what's wrong with how you process information or how you reach a certain conclusion because if I ask you to provide one single evidence of me praising Misbah the cricketing talent you won't be able to find one because it doesn't exist.

All I have said in respect of Misbah on this forum that Misbah is one of the finest cricketing brains from Pakistan in recent times. A cricketing brain is different to a cricketing talent lol, I hope your brain has enough capacity to process that.

Now I'm sure you'd get triggered that I said Misbah is a great cricket brain because you're a black and white person where black is hatred and white is unconditional affection for you. Misbah is in the hatred category for you so anything positive about him you'd debate even though deep within you'd know you're wrong but your brain is structured like a Sanghi where hatred means hatred and no room for critical thinking exists. If you are still wondering how Misbah is a good cricketing brain rather than self introspecting as to what's wrong with your black and white attitude then I'd like to remind you that with limited cricketing ability, no star power at disposal, playing away from Pakistan, no major political backing, no controversies, etc. He is still the only Pakistani captain to hold a test mace. That's the credit to him making utmost best use of conditions and squad available to him.

There is no comparison here... People are giving Azam too much credit for his PSL knock (after years) while Shivam has won 2 World Cups already and is a proven lower/middle order batter
