My hand just got burnt due to a falling cup of tea.

See, this is why I voted for coffee yesterday.

Asian tea

no disrespect to english tea, but i cannot drink it, its either very weak-watery or bitter.

Full fat asian tea is just amazing- puts you to sleep

Neither, hot drinks are disgusting and an affront to humanity. A beverage should be refreshing and cool, not piping hot.

You just don't know the joy of sipping hot chai at a roadside tea shop on a cold rainy day and talking rubbish with your friends.

May Lord show you the right path:moyo

You wretched cold hearted man.... you know nothing about the warmth of the heart!!

PG Tea all the way here, Lipton is also good.

Nordic countries top the lists when it comes to coffee. Here in Norway no meeting starts without coffee. And a famous saying here is that you are not considered adult before you start consuming coffee. I hear that quite often from the colleagues here. In the morning they look dull and disinterested but once the coffee is there they freshen up.

Coffee smells very good but I just can't understand how people can drink this stuff, it is not good at all!

They get a kick out of caffeine. That's all:srini

My vote is for coffee but I drink tea daily lol because its the only thing available in my office but if they start giving coffee then I will prefer coffee

Coffee versus tea

What do you prefer chai or coffee? I've always loved a cup of tea but as of recent have been drinking more coffee. An Indian neighbour of mine gave me some coffee from Kerala that is really awesome. I think coffee offers more choice then tea.

The most interesting part of the first post is that PakLFC has an Indian neighbour who he has good relations with LMAO

It could just be a case of not looking a gift horse in the mouth.

Coffee all day everyday. Have also completely gone away from sugar so black coffee is my goto.

Just wondering, what surprises you about that as that's pretty common especially if you're living abroad? I've more Indian friends than Pakistani friends.

I am just a misunderstood angel!:afridi1 On this forum Indian's seem to think I hate them that is untrue. When I praise India/ns Pakistanis think I am an Indian:))

C'mmon now!! Milk is a must in coffee otherwise black coffee s like drinking tap water in Pak!!!:yk

Does doodh patti qualify as tea, or is it a category in and of itself?

What about lattes, cappuccinos and the like? There is more milk in them than there is coffee, so much so that one could argue that one doesn't so much add milk to the coffee as add coffee to the milk.

Coffee is the worst-tasting drink in the world. Absolutely horrendous. Chai zindabad.

Drink both, but if the work is heavy defn coffee,if it's I'm just at home or unwell defn ginger tea.

Not sure why it's a binary choice,I drink green tea and black coffee throughout the week and ginger cardamom tea in the weekend so coffee withdrawal issue doesn't occur.

Rooibos is by far the best tea I have drank.

It only grows in South Africa

Depends.

Depends on how rush I am in.

Quicker to make Coffee. Tea usually when taking big breakfast during weekends. Both bad for my teeth, as I also like to have milk in both no water. And it has 1-2 tsp, so not healthy for teeth.

Both have been saving her alertness as having lack of sleep with little one waking up every other hours during early months.

Chai.

*A million miles away*

Coffee

American Tea and Coffee taste like tobacco.

I am addicted to tea everyday.
Occasionally drink coffee as well but never as a substitute to tea.

I have tea at least twice a day.

I drink coffee occasionally though, mainly when I'm really tired and need the caffeine but prefer tea hence I voted for tea.

Used to drink karak chai everyday 3 or 4 times in Dubai, Pakistan etc, but it's coffee here every morning as we have a coffee machine and making good tea takes too long.

We have mint, giger, and tea masala, had to boiled well. My wife is addicted to my tea. :afridi1

Interesting map on this subject:

Im surprised Australia doesn't scale more towards coffee.

I can honestly say we make the best latte's/cappucino's in the world.

Barristas take it very seriously down here.

Never been a coffee drinker as I don't like the idea of drinking something that raises your BP and heart rate.

Today I decided to try a mocha as people say it's the best gateway drink for non-coffee drinkers. It tasted like hot tarmac. This is a drink some people claim they cannot live without ? Each to their own I suppose.

Tea zindabad.

When I have a big exam or I am trying to stay awake, I drink coffee.

When I am trying to relax, I drink tea.

I like both but coffee is better for me.

A strong black coffee in the morning. I like it very much, but that’s all I have. Used to drink tea in the afternoons and evenings but have fallen right out of the habit.

I love the smell of coffee. But I just can’t drink black coffee. Only time I drink coffee is a spoon of coffee micrs in a warm cup of milk, that is tasty.

But other than that PG tea all the way for me! The highlight of the day is the cup of tea in the afternoon or evening relaxing on the sofa.

these days im doing black coffee, as im on a fasting regime so use it as its zero calorie, usally blast some freshly grinded arabica beans through my aeropress or do a pour over in my chemex.

also do cold brew occasionaly, lovly, but its time consuming waiting 18 hours for a cup of coffee to brew.

sometimes if im lazy i will just pull a shot of espresso from my nespresso machines and they save alot of time with the pods, low quality i know but easy and fast.

as for other coffees i will usally go to a proper 3rd/4th wave coffee shop who knows how to pour latte art.

Coffee definitely, though I barely drink either. I'll drink Coffee 3-4 times in the Winter months and that's about it but I do really enjoy it in the cold. It's probably the only healthy diet related thing I do, other than not drinking alcohol.

No offence but you sound like a hipster.

Tried a Yogi Tea blend consisting of ginger, vanilla and orange.

Wasn't a fan as the ginger made the tea too spicy and bitter, doesn't smell very nice either. Could barely taste the other ingredients.

Usually stick to normal tea but did have doodh patti today and it was delicious.

I prefer tea casually and that too if there is mithai or sweets.

I have coffee when I am going to drive or to keep me awake.

I am having Arabic coffee for the first time today. Very good taste and quality.

I think it tastes better than other coffees.

I have started having Yemini coffee and Tea and man absolutely nothing beats them.

They are byfar ahead of everyone, love all the new Arab coffee shops opening up in Texas Area.

I like coffee a lot too. Depends which type and brand. But tea proper desi style, not the kettle boiled water, can’t be beaten!!

Love a chai(tea) especially from chai wala.

Tea stall tea. Used to drink that when I was in Bangladesh. It was lovely.

I now try to avoid milk tea. Not very healthy.

I now prefer to have green tea or black coffee (Arabic coffee preferably).

There was many melas that I went to, especially there was mela during muharram in by a shia village opposite my nana ji’s village, stayed long into the night, had so much fuchka, chotpoti, other snacks and hundreds of cups of tea with the boys.

Nice. Those teas can get quite addictive. Quite sugary but delicious.

I believe you are a Sylheti. I have been to Sylhet twice. Loved it. Anyway, that was before 2005.
