Coke Studio vs Bollywood songs

Which is better according to you guys?

For me, Bollywood songs are much better as its shorter and catchy too. Whenever I tell my foreign friends about the songs, they really like it and find it very catchy whereas most of the Coke Studio songs are very long and have huge music intervals in between.

There are very few Bollywood songs that are actually good.The amount of songs that come from Bollywood is huge but my point is that there will be one good song out of ten.
I get it why your foreign friends like bollywood songs and of the main reason for that is the duration of songs in bollywood is less than CS and there is lot of funky/rap/attractive music videos that come from Bollywood.
I am not saying that every bollywood song is average.That would be a foolish thing to say,singers like Arijit Singh,AR Rahman,Sonu Nigam are brilliant.
Look at the stuff that guys like Badshah,Honey Singh produce.If that is good music than I rest my case.
CS11 was a huge disappointment but other than that most of the songs in CS are quite good.
I might myself recommend some CS songs to you if you want

Here are 10-11 songs and I am sure that you would love these songs provided you haven't listened them already.

So u prefer trashy pop that keeps the
masses distracted over real music.

Even then, coke studio has many pop songs.
10 or 15 years ago maybe u could make a case for preferring bollywood songs. 2005 had many awesome bollywood songs, but they became trash after that year.

However, i must say bollywood songs over the past few years have gotten alot better than usual

Coke studio easily. Most Bollywood songs of today are rip off Pak ones or even their own old ones. There is nothing original about Bollywood songs anymore.

Some Bollywood songs are actually pretty good. I’m not either a big Coke Studio fan although I really like Tajdar-e-Haram by Atif Aslam.

Still, you can’t compare Coke Studio with a film industry that thrives on remaking Pakistani and Punjabi songs.

Looks like you have already made up my mind for me with that question's phrasing.

On the topic at hand this is quite pointless unless you do a song vs song comparison and even then you will have to find similar songs.
Both have great songs that transcend boundaries and transport you to a different dimension and both also have awful songs that make your ears bleed and wonder about the point of your existence.

Ofcourse the sample size of Bollywood is way way bigger than CS so naturally they have loads more great songs as well as tons of stinkers.
