I like the contrast of Saeed Anwar and Graeme Smith, but Anwar and Amla batting together would've been a sight !

AB De Villiers and Javed Miandad as a batting pair would send bowlers crazy with their improvisation and running between the wickets. Imran Khan and Jacques Kallis, two of the greatest ARs of all-time sharing the field would be incredible.

Wasim Akram and Allan Donald with the new ball, two bowlers with beautiful actions that you could watch all day. Dale Steyn and Imran Khan getting the old ball to reverse.

This sprung up a lot of dilemmas though. Should Shaun Pollock be in there ? Any space for Waqar Younis ? Should one of the pre-readmission era batsmen like Barry Richards play ? Make AB keep and bring in Amla or Younis/Inzamam/Yousuf ?

If its for tests I think its a pretty solid XI. If AB can keep than obviously bringing in someone like Younis, Graeme Pollock or Yousuf will make it even more stronger one.

For ODIs, I would open with QDK and Saeed Anwer and will bring in one off Shoaib Akhtar or Waqar Younis over Steyn while rest would remain the same. 2nd spinner in the ODI squad will be Saeed Ajmal.
