Not all the people voted for Trump are racist, but every racist voted for Trump.

Red states voted red, blue states voted blue. That didn't change, people in those states have the same views as always, what changed was that Trump won the swing states (PA, OH, & FL) and two reliably blue statea, Michigan & Wisconsin. The attitudes of people in those states certainly did change.
