Congratulations Pakistan for giving India a close fight

Yeah fantastic game of cricket and I am happy this tournament is over. Pakistan put up a good fight but they still find a way to show some clear flaws in their game.

That’s all I have to say.
 
Not much credit. This was a two paced wicket which helped Pakistan come back into the game.

If anything credit to Tillak Varma and Dube for bringing India to victory against all the odds and showing game awareness, adaptability on the wicket.

Pakistan will not get a better chance to beat India again.
 
So turns out, another member of the boycott brigade was secretly watching this game after lieing here how he would not watch the pak india game. But as soon as the winning run scored, rght at the moment he makes a thread.

Was a great game, fitting of a final. Both teams had a chance till the last ball.
Congratulations to India for winning, Tilak Verma showed great mental toughness to carry on till the end, this is where stars are born and hopefully he will be a strong pillar in the middle order for next 10 years.
He can be the Yuvi or Raina we need.

Some changes are needed.

Too many all rounders selected that don't contribute.

What's the point having the options if you are unwilling to use them? Better to try a specialist instead.

Overall core should remain and I really hope they don't sack the coach. He is exactly what we need.

Don't think so. Huge gulf in talent, quality, skills, game awareness, iq between the players from the two countries. It is indicative that the domestic cricket structure, domestic coaches in the system in Pakistan are not doing a good job and that is reflected in the quality of the players being produced
 
Agree. The improvement over the course of the three games was noticeable. Fortunately for us you didn't back Hassan Nawaz, think a wildcard like that must play
 
Farhan and Abrar are good, even though Saim flopped with the bat I think he will come good. These 3 along with Shaheen, Pak still need 4-5 good players to challenge Top3

T20 format that gulf can be bridged at times if you try and punch above weight

Look at @Rajdeep, claimed to boycott all three Sunday matches, yet the moment the game ended, he tagged me within a minute, as if he had been waiting desperately for it, not realizing he only made himself look like a clown. :yk :inti
 
Yes. Congrats are in order. With some hard work, some mental toughness and a few more duas , you might actually even beat us on the odd occasion

It goes unnoticed the salaries for these guys in the Pakistan context. And the lack of accountability for it. It's a job that they've turned into a political circus and enjoying the perks.

They were all watching. some from their trains, some outside the pan shop or some gleening to the glass of the Samsung store.

The timings of the post of all the boycott gang is really funny.

Lost the game but won dil, jaan, gurda, kaleje, etc. with their celebrations throughout the tournament
 
Agha captaincy, Haris Rauf bowling, Pakistan middle to low order batting, Haris batting and keeping lost a winnable match. Shaheen, Farhan, Faheem and we're good. With Fakhar, Abrar and Saim, bowling wise, were acceptable.

Take a breather at least today except that bowler and harris everyone performed well while fielding and bowling, middle order is terrible unfortunately..for us our openers flopped today.
 
On a serious note, gave a good fight and the team is looking better than the one with Babar and Rizwan
 
@Major hiding behind boycott drama to ease some pain will not work. Atleast we are just fans but officially BCCI never asked for boycotting this tournament. It is PCB and Moshin Naqvi wanted to boycott if Match referee Pycroft is not removed. Then did thook ke chaatna.

You would have had a laugh in front of each other not infront of them. 80% of my fellow Indians wouldn't be here had Pakistan won this match. Just look at the match thread, when the going gets tough for India they run away. Signs of plastic fans and glory hunters. :inti
 
Sept 14 - India won by 7 wickets

Sept 21 - India won by 6 wickets

Sept 28 - India won by 5 wickets.

Pak seemed to me improving.

What I saw today on the field was appalling, zero game awareness.

with low quality players in our team, reaching the finals and taking the game into the last over is in it self an achievement. (Afghanistan must stop dreaming to be no.2 ).

we just need couple of mentally strong players and we will be right back in the business.
 
Pakistan have shown plenty of fight and grit, but they need a bit more skill.

Why don’t you concentrate on actually trying to win “wars”.

India are only bringing this war stuff in to it because they got embarassed in the actual. A bit too much try-hard overcompensation.

It’s a game, treat it as a game and chill

Players and board should behave sensibly, fans will be fans so can't say too much.

Making sports into a war is extreme.

Either play it like sports, or have a war. Trying to fit war into sports is just making dummies out of the public.

I have spoken to many Pakistanis and some sensible Indians, before this match, and deep down, both sides disliked their players' conduct and their boards' conduct.

I don't mind banter between fans, even when you guys do it. And even if there is no war, fans will have a war.

However, boards and players shouldn't encourage war hysteria. These boards are essentially extensions of their governments; if they wanted a war, they should go and fight it, rather than have a pretend one hiding behind cricket.

Brother the truth is in both countries the boards are stooges of the politicos and both sides have played their part here. This Asia Cup shouldnt have happened, BCCI got greed got in the way and PCB cashed into the war hysteria as well- their incompetence has been masqueraded as well
 
Yes, Pakistan played well in finals after getting thrashed in two matches. Pakistan’s bowlers always create chances in big matches during the powerplay by picking quick wickets, and they did it again but lost momentum right after. Indian batsmen rotated strike smartly against the spinners and punished the loose balls for boundaries.

Pakistan’s batting unit was a huge letdown, after reaching 90 in 10 overs, they just collapsed like a pack of cards. Excellent bowling from the Indian spinners, but honestly most of the Pakistani batsmen threw their wickets away with completely senseless shots.

As a true cricket fan, I wanted to witness the El Clasico of cricket. I was sure we would get at least one, but instead, we got three in a single month. The boycott gang and their self-proclaimed leaders ended up with pies all over their hypocritical faces. :yk :inti
