Just a little difference. We already went lockdown last year in CAA protest.
Here people aren't complaining about lock down. People themselves were asking. The panic is, when you may become the reason that your mother or father or son or daughter may die.
I dont think even people, who were sympathizing with you till now, would agree to such attitude.
I agree, everybody must suffer what they have sown. Be it India as a nation or your own society in terms of blind eye to religious discrimination and murder.
don't worry about me or my family.keep your or your countrymen sympathy to yourself. we don't need your sympathy.we can cope these lockdown you are keeping us in lockdown from decades now.
Better than pakistan. keep on lockdown.512 active cases. We saw 62 cases yesterday.
Need to see how many will be there today!!
Some daily stats -

They arent testing enough. I suspect there will be more than 25k cases in India.
Stop spreading fake news .India doing great work to contain Covid19 even better than most of countries right now .
Idiot bisht in Ayodhya with whole lot of idiots doing 'puja'. See his proud declaration that he has donated 11 lakh for the temple.
What idiots!
Banking

It's an outrage that he dares to breathe
Are banks extending loan/emi/credit card due dates? I have heard several big companies are seeking relief and pointing towards 'Act of God' clause. They want banks to restructure their loans. What is RBI going to do now?![]()
Idiotic slaves have already started sharing these pics in WhatsApp groups of this 'proud' and 'historic' feat.

So reduced yesterday.Nice
We barely do any tests. We can have 0 a day if we do 0 tests.
The fact that we did a grand total of 100 tests on Monday with 99 positive tells you the story.
Issue is, they will ignore the good work that he is doing but somehow will call him an idiot just bcoz he did some 'puja'. Agenda is pretty strong here.
Yogi Adityanath Says Will Ensure Home Delivery of Essentials During Lockdown, 10,000 Vehicles to be Roped in
Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday said, “From tomorrow vegetables, milk, fruits, medicines and other essential commodities will be delivered to your doorsteps, for which we have identified more than 10,000 vehicles

If stage 3 is community transmission then India is already at this phase unfortunately.Preventive measures. If India gets to stage 3,it'll be impossible to control
Is he above the lockdown?
It seems many just want India to fail, and are shocked to see such low relative numbers of cases in India.
We will never know the true reality of the virus but we have to optimistic than pessimistic that the lockdown will interrupt the spread.
Yes he is, lol, every CM, ministers, presidents, PM are above lockdowns just like essential commodities, they are decision making bodies so lock downs laws don't apply on them
If stage 3 is community transmission then India is already at this phase unfortunately.
If stories of foreigners moving around freely attending malls, conferences, parties etc even though they were displaying symptoms are factual then community transmission has already started. That is unless the authorities were successful in contact tracing everyone these selfish individuals made contact with.
No, we are definitely not doing great. Lockdown just gives us more time to test and isolate the cases. That’s it. We need to test more aggressively now.
Ofcourse they do.Modiji himself said yesterday that he is also practising self isolation
To gather people to do a puja that can be done later/abandoned is idiocy and sets a bad example
Anyway you don't need to gather in masses to make decisions in this day and age

Apart from Korea has any other country done agressive testing ? I do think we should as many tests as possible , but not sure what the govts thought process is .
Rhetorical statement or this happened?
Any link?
Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong.

It's a combo of 3 things:
1. How much you are affected (some countries are luckier than others)
2. How early you start
3. How much you test
Contact tracing, isolation, etc applies to all.
If you start early or you aren't heavily affected, you won't need ruthless testing (tho the countries mentioned above did do aggressive testing in high risk areas).
Singapore's test per million numbers were better than even South Korea on Mar 20.

It has jumped to 612 with current active cases are 562India is on day one of its lockdown, which prompted panic-buying.
The health ministry says India has 519 Covid-19 cases and nine deaths. Why so low in a country of 1.3bn? Very low testing rates could be to blame, making it a possible pandemic hotspot.

lol.
Says it all.
Thanks kaayal.
By the way, in case you got any info...
I suppose the new kits (coming from Germany) are the RT-PCR kits right? Have they arrived? What is their turnaround time? 2-3 days or 5-6 days including logistics?
-----
The need is to test, test and test hard all the symptoms.
Utilize these 21 days to get on top of things.
By the way, my wife's friend is in isolation ward in trichy now. Hoping she tests negative. They say her blood test is negative and have gone for throat swab or something.
Source bud?
Govt site and NDTV says 570 odd total and 512 active cases.

ICMR is putting out all the data at covidindiaupdates.in. This includes tests per million on a daily basis. As of today, the total tests carried out stands at 22080. In terms of capacity, the labs in India can carry our 10k tests a day, or 70k a week. This number will go up since two Indian companies will be manufacturing kits within the country.
Would you believe that a severely densely populated country like Bangladesh has only 39 cases to data and 5 deaths. If you go by death to infected ratio from ACROSS THE WORLD, then 5 deaths would typically correspond with 200-500 infected cases. Bangladesh is operating on Allah tawaqul method and isn't even testing.
Crazy. If they don't take action now, Corona will make them pay and they will have to take 10X action anyway.

Germany has been testing 1000s a day. the UK has tested around 80k people and are now testing more than 5K a day. Spain has been testing thousands. Italy obviously. France. Belgium. I can name many others. All these countries have been aggressively testing.
How many tests have India done?
The last time i checked they had one of the lowest number of tests per million people

Indian state governments have done tremendous job in the during Nipah and Plague epidemics. Not talking about BJP or anything here but in general india has had some great admins at state level.
In time of crisis they have always stepped up.
India has eliminated polio completely with aggressive campaign as well.
So I would worry about countries like Pakistan especially tribal areas where governments cannot still get through.
Again not a measuring contest but I have faith in Indian state (even non or anti-BJP) and fed government to be proactive on this.
So far fingers crossed have tackled this better than some European countries with a lot less population and more resources.
He was talking about Bangladesh.
Damn, so you are disappointed by the low deaths counts?
BBC radio reporter saying people delivering or selling milk are being attacked in some places in India.
An Italian couple recently were treated in Agra, with their consent, with HIV anti-retroviral drugs and were found to be negative. They had severe respiratory distress and the drugs were given on compassionate grounds by the Indian Council of Medical Research.Kerala: British national given HIV antiretroviral drugs to treat COVID-19 now tests negative
KOCHI: A British national, who was administered HIV antiretroviral drugs for treating his coronavirus infection, has tested negative, doctors at the Ernakulam Medical College Hospital here said on Wednesday.
The patient, who had earlier tested positive for COVID-19, responded well to the drugs combination of Ritonavir and Lopinavir, and his latest test results showed he has recovered, a hospital statement said.
The doctors said the treatment was effective on the patient who was given the drugs for seven days. The result of the test of his samples conducted three days after giving him the drugs returned negative, they said.
The doctors made the disclosure of his recovery after the second test result on March 23 also turned negative.

According to med journals, i have read that zinc has somewhat suppressing effect on binding of the virus. Is this concept is slowly picking up or just another hypothesis?
