Counties seek to guard against IPL

Lol. All players require ECB's NOC to play the IPL or to even put their names in the auction. ECB can try and not issue the NOCs.

ECB gets 20% of what a player gets. If ecb isnt giving it to the counties its ecb's issue.

County's are fighting to get share of the 20% player fee for themselves, so it become internal dispute between ECB and County's. BCCI had the foresight and business model to keep IPL as priority for outside boards and players is making wonders :salute

If required, BCCI will increase share to higher % in future to keep the support :srini

Who will say no to easy money :genius

In the future, every cricket boards will focus to safeguard their interests. No cricketer will be stupid enough to risk their future careers over the tamasha league that may jeopardize their careers. A precedent which already been sent by one cricket board will be followed by other cricket boards as well.
