Hi, this is my first post here and I see many British people here on this site so I need a bit of help. I got offers from these 3 unis, Which university should I firm from these?

I go to Coventry University. What course have you applied for?

Journalism for Coventry/Gloucester. International Relations for Man Met

Coventry is ranked pretty high for Journalism I think. I finished 1st year recently and had a great time, although it hasn't been great for my course - pretty unprofessional but for other courses it's been fine. What else are you considering about these unis? As in what factors? Nightlife, location, distance etc? Things like that, what is important to you and I can help you for Coventry.

I would like to enjoy my life too and want to be in a fun city. I have been to Coventry which was tbh quite boring but not to Manchester or Gloucester/Cheltenham. I want to make sure that the degree is useful too. I have heard few things about Coventry and how the faculty team is not that interested etc

In Coventry, there's not much to do compared to a big city like Manchester, there's lots of pubs and a couple of clubs, not sure if you're into stuff like that but that's about it. I don't know many people doing Journalism at Coventry otherwise would ask for you.

I am not into drinking but I would like to enjoy my life. I have set my mind on MMU but I need to convince my family as they want me to go to Coventry as we have some relatives there.

Well you can make friends and enjoy life at any Uni so there's not really much I can say on that matter. Where do you live in the UK?

I am from Pakistan mate currently living in HK.

Oh ok. I know a lot of Pakistanis at Coventry uni as well a lot of HK international students so you wouldn't be out of place. Lots of international students in general at Coventry Uni, also is very close to Warwick Uni.

I think out of the 3 unis you are considering, overall Coventry is the highest ranked. Gloucesteshire isn't known for being a great uni and based on what you said, it seems it's most likely between Coventry and MMU as you have family in Cov but prefer Manchester.

You will be able to enjoy life at any Uni anyway regardless, all that matters is the friends you make and you can make friends anyway.

If you have your heart set on Manchester, then go for that, at the end of the day it's your choice and not your parents. Manchester isn't THAT far from Coventry, probably like only 1-2 hours drive so you could probably still see your family anyway.
