Within families and communities in Balochistan, the younger generation often encounters discouragement regarding excessive dedication to cricket due to challenges such as limited access to playing fields, financial support, and the prevalent poverty in the region.

It becomes imperative for the PCB to address issues such as nepotism and recognizing the untapped potential within Balochistan. The consistent exclusion from rightful opportunities hampers the province's residents from showcasing their passion on the international stage. There are notably three cricket stadiums in Balochistan: Bugti Stadium, Ayub Stadium, and Gwadar Stadium. But all of them are substandard.

The matter is for the PCB to treat Baloch cricketers with equality, offering them opportunities for development. While the domestic season includes teams from Balochistan and Quetta, a majority of players are from other provinces. Notable players from Balochistan, such as Bismillah Khan, Mohammad Asghar, and the emerging talent Haseebullah Khan, are ethnically Pashtuns. Surprisingly, there hasn't been a native Baloch cricketer representing Pakistan. This raises the question of why Baloch people, known for their athletic enthusiasm, aren't adequately represented?

Despite a sense of pessimism, there is hope that someday the PCB will take the development of cricket in Balochistan seriously. The aspiration is to witness a pool of native Baloch talent making significant contributions to the national side.

What are your thoughts on this matter? Will we ever see a native Baloch represent Pakistan in the national cricket team in the future?

Balochistan is still an unexplored and unchartered territory for the great cricketing talent in Pakistan. If PCB could facilitate the cricketers from there then certainly PCT can benefit greatly from the massive raw talent there.

Haseebullah is Balochi and he could well be playing soon.

There is a lack of cricket resources in Balochistan which is why very few players we see from that region.

PCB should pay some attention to Balochistan to enhance their talent pool from that region.

This is exciting. I am looking forward to Haseebullah donning the green shirt and making history. He performed well in the National T20 Cup 2023, playing only three matches but maintaining an average of 80 for Multan. Also, he is performing well in the ongoing President's Trophy, with an average of 95 in two matches for SNGPL.

Haseebullah looks a real talent and he has performed really well in the domestic cricket recently. I hope he performs good in the upcoming PSL for Peshawar Zalmi and maybe we see him playing for Pakistan Shaheens soon and after that maybe for the national team.

Haseebullah, hailing from Pishin, is about to create cricket history! He's geared up as the first native Balochi set to represent Pakistan in the upcoming 5th T20I against New Zealand.

If PCB is serious about the development of cricket in Balochistan, they have to give Haseebullah consistent chances. So that he can be the hero of Balochistan, and the youth of native Balochistan can take inspiration from him. This way, we can utilize the talent of those native Balochis too.

Thinks did not go as planned for the young lad from Pishin but lets give this lad some time to settle. He could be gem of a player.

I could care less who you are, what regional ethnicity you belong to, what religion you belong to, what caste you belong to….

All that matters to me is the ability to play cricket at the highest level.

Guys like Haseebullah being preferred over proper, decent cricketers is a farce.

there are rumors going around that he is actually an afghan. Might be false news but there are some rumors by some people.

I just learned that he is from the Pashtun tribe of Pishin in Balochistan. All these Pashtun tribes migrated to Balochistan, Pakistan from Afghanistan long ago.

So, the question remains. Why are there no native Baloch players?

The question is not about ethnicity, it's about why we aren't including native Baloch talent in the pool.

"Perhaps the only Baloch cricketer, Haseebullah, is featuring in PSL 9. Instead of Humary Heroes campaign, there should be a quota for Baloch players in PSL 9."

By bringing in the Quota system, we will be politicalizing our psl.

PSL's job is not to help regions or look after development. It is there to provide entertainment and make money.

The cricket development task is of PCB at grassroot domestic level.

Worst idea ever, if you're good enough you'll represent Pakistan no matter what. Quotas for different regions is a terrible idea.

As per reports, Ahmed Shehzad has decided to establish a cricket academy in Balochistan to help young cricketers in the province.

You can be a 30% international standard player and you will have a chance to represent Pakistan if you are from Balochistan

Have no fear, the legend of hasebullah is here.
That’s it! That’s all you got to do, be from Balochistan!

I don’t understand why guys like Usman Khan and Usman Qadir want to migrate abroad to play international cricket. Just move to Balochistan, seek residence there. Make sure your family becomes members of Balochistan society, much better chance to represent Pakistan this way

If it were true, we would have plenty of legends from Balochistan.

When will Mr. Naqvi pay attention to extracting talent from Balochistan and renovating the Quetta stadium, as in other provinces?

Which cricketer from Balochistan has impressed you the most in this year's Champions One-Day Cup 2024? Besides haseebullah
