Current England form should worry India in ODIs!

In SA spinners come into play with bounce, in ODIs being played in England there is nothing for the spinners. You can see the stats of CT 17, or past few series.

It will be a real test for Yadav and Chahal without bounce or spin and if they will struggle Indian bowling line up will struggle big time and Bumrah would be only hope.

You can see in these series itself how Rashid and Moeen Ali were taking wickets.Chahal and Kuldeep are wristspinners and they will get turn everywhere.England struggled last time against chahal in T20s on an Indian patta.

Moen and Rashid were taking wickets of Australian batsmen which we all know struggle against spin and they were bowling in conditions they have bowled their whole lives.

You remember the test series of Eng vs Ind in Eng, Moen Ali took around 20 odd wickets in that series and Ashwin was nowhere to be seen.

Wickets are not gonna assist spin so it will upto the minds of yadav and chahal how they cope with it.

More than Australian inability to play spin they were chasing high totals in two of the games. You can see series of last two years and take the CT 17 into account as well to understand the point I am making.
 
I will be surprised if Yadav and Chahal will be able to create same impact as in SA due to bounce and if my thought turns out right India will have to rethink their plan for the world cup 19 and there isnt much time left.
 
So English batsmen will score runs while Kohli Rohit Dhawan Dhoni are just going to watch and do nothing.
 
It will be a batting contest, something which we saw in India in 2013. England have more firepower in the batting than India at the moment. India's top 3 need to fire and hopefully Rahul and the rest can follow suit. India surely need the bowlers to perform better if they have to win the series. We cannot chase 400.

See it is bound to happen in such scores pant failed I agree but he needed to be persisted with I think it's more impatiency than lack of talent he need to give himself time.
 
England tops the list (beats Pakistan marginally) when it comes to being the most inconsistent team. One day they will score 500 and the very next day they will bundle out within 150.

Based on what? He is a hack suited only for T20s.Look at Prithvi Shaw and Shubman Gill maximizing their oppurtunities.Its not the old times.Prove yourselves in A team tours else stick to IPL.
 
So.... According to cricketworm, every batsman of england from 1 to 7 will make century while kohli and co. will fail to reach second digit score and bowlers will have to search for the ball every time in the crowds....

....meh. Some depressing stuff.
 
Last 4 bilateral ODI series btw Eng and Ind were all won by India. I predict the same result.

5-0 in 2011
3-2 in 2012
3-1 in 2014
2-1 in 2016

How many opportunities has been provided to him in first place, see his issue has always been patience and from what I have seen of him in domestic that is why I am saying. He has got all the shots all over the ground don't forget he is now in the hands of Dravid who will deffo work on him.

I want to agree with you but you killed your point with the last name.

I think we will be fine unless Kohli goes the homies before performances way. Stop with the Raina at 4 nonsense and have him as a finisher. If we are playing the freeloader wk just make sure he doesn't get to bat unless every other batsman has already been dismissed and bench chahal when he doesn't perform.

England are good but their attack every ball strategy will be tested against Indian middle over bowling and we can actually tonk teams on flat pitches.
 
Rohit will be the main man here.
If we bat first we need to set atleast 350 score. And if rohit gets going 350 will look minute.
Our top 3 are better than theirs and if kuld and chahal find some turn we will win. Matches may go till the last overs so bumrah's death bowling will again be tested.
 
India should not be worried. They themselves are a batting powerhouse and I think they can match England on these phattas with the bat. We will be going to witness high scoring games in Ind-Eng series.
 
It will be a mouthwatering clash IMO.India have a brilliant top order in LOIs and a decent bowling lineup.England have a great batting lineup and with the return of Stokes,it will become even stronger.It will be an entertaining series.

I know Kohli and Shastri would pick Shardul Thakur in place of Bumrah and there goes all the hopes of winning a series against England in England. I would be happy if they choose Deepak Chahar atleast. But definitely not this Thakur guy again.
 
Idk how our attack can be considered a good attack when our leader of the bowling averages 38 in this format who relies to take wicket against minnows. Pandya is fine but he wont run through side even if it's his day. All depends on spin and sometimes on bumrah. This is fine attack but i don't think on flattest track its hard to play this. Bhuvi might try his slower ball tricks but i highly doubt it will affect any batsman from english side.

Our bowling now depends on how our two spinners bowl in the middle overs.IMO, England's batting has only one gear and if we stop their scoring in the middle overs by taking wickets, we could put them in them in trouble.
But my hope lies with thier rubbish bowling.They are the only non-minnow team who allowed an over-the-hill Dhoni to come back to form and smoke them to more than 380.Even an overweight Raina murdered them in the T20s.If they could do that again this summer and bring back Dhoni and Raina to the party, we sure can win the series.
 
JUST IN: Deepak Chahar replaces Bumrah in the T20I squad. Washington Sundar replaced by Krunal Pandya in T20Is, while Aksar Patel will be part of the ODI team. #ENGvIND

Happy that they didn't pick Shardul again but sad that this dud Aksar is chosen in ODIs. Excited to see Deepak Chahar and K.Pandya in our National team. Can't wait to see them play.

Excited to watch Pandya brothers donning the national jersey.
 
Just look at the difference in the batting lineups between the two. England have aggressive and dynamic players from 1-6 and bat all the way down to number 11.

India on the other hand have an OAP keeper/batsman, a hit and miss Pandya and then a 8-11 whose batting is not going to scare anyone. If India’s top 4 fails they are in big trouble.

Should have been better if the thread title said: "Current India form should worry the rest of the World in all formats of Cricket!". Makes sense!

A tight slap to all the folks who underestimated this Indian side's talent and skill! We are No#1 for a reason and No other cricketing nation is gonna stop us or replace our No#1 anytime soon. After the comeback of Bhuvi an No#1 ODI Bowler Bumrah, this side is only going to get more lethal, and add another matchwinner DK in the middle order in place of Raina/Dhoni and man! This current Indian team looks invincible!
 
Amazing how we have been winning so far without out number 5 and 6. That weakness has not yet been exposed due to a very good top 4.
