David Warner 151* as Australia pile on 312/1 at Stumps on Day 2 against Pakistan at the Gabba

If this rule were there in 1990s, INdia would not have lost in Windies . Sidhu got out twice to two gigantic noball. Tendulkar once. India ended up losing by 40 runs chasing 120

In old days back foot line was used to call no ball this allowed express bowlers stretch as much as they can but have to land back foot on behind the line

Yeah. India got 81 all out chasing 121. 20 years later, pakistan got 81 all out vs Windies in 2017, chasing 180 :P

Amount of time Yasir spent with bat against Cummins, Starc, Hazlewood, Lyon shoud have given a clue that surface is not a difficult surface to bat on.

Logged in after many days just to comment about Naseem. Excellent prospect. Pakistan have finally uncovered a gem.

How is the captaincy of Azhar Ali? I was watching the highlights, some of his shots were class

Misba was talking about Steve Smith's blind spot. Now he has to work on bind spots of Warner, Burns.

Really impressive after lunch.

All three Shahs have done well. Extremely impressed with Naseem in his second spell. He found the right area and hit it consistently at excellent pace. I'm really surprised no one told him he was over stepping frequently during the lunch break.

Shaheen is also bowling well, bowling in the right areas at a good pace. We just need something to go out way. There is absolutely no movement in the pitch or the air.

I am very impressed by Yasir, I had predicted he won't do well, but he is doing good so far.

If Imran is out then we have a good bowling attack.

145 kph from even Shaheen as well however pak is yet tp get a wicket

His pace is impressive today. He looks even fitter than before.

Naseem has some freak like fitness. I have never seen some one bowl mid to high 140s so consistently. Even Archer didn't do it this consistently during the Ashes.

This pitch is run feast pitch and any decent team are capable to draw this match where we are playing as if it is hard bouncy 3 days types test match

Apart from Ajmal against Morgan in 2012, I can't remember the last time a Pakistani bowler ended an opposition player's career :mv Conversely, I can think of plenty of players whose dying careers we've injected life into :warner

Bowling has been disciplined. Run flow has been controlled. This has been one of the better days for Pakistan bowlers in Australia. Good job!

Don't see our bowlers will get more than 5 wickets. Batsmen always let us down. PCB has done nothing to unearth or develop our batsmen for last 15 years.

Warny giving wonderful tips about field placement for yasir to burns

And he is right middle stump line will be more effective

Best we can do is go for a draw. Keep it tight, make Aus work for their runs. 2nd innings we need.ro somehow get 450+ at a slow rate.

Facing world no.1 bowler doesn't help the cause either.

Cummins is class. No doubt.
But the way Babar and Haris threw their wickets away meant that Pak have lost 100 runs here. One of the two has to carry Pak batting if Pak wants to compete in this series. Cameos from tail is not Going to cut it for Pak.

More like an innings defeat. Pak bowlers are bowling their heart out on this flat pitch.

Blame must go on Pak batting.

The problem is that Imran has bowled so poorly that they can't trust him with the ball, which means that Naseem and Shaheen will have to take more responsibility and bowl more overs.

How Misbah choose Imran K out of nowhere?

Experience.

He couldn't stand having 3 bowlers under 23, which is why he chose Imran in the squad over Sameen Gul.

Imran has averaged above 40 this QeA season. Sameen averages around 18 and averages 16 overall in FC cricket.

Pathetic bowling. They should see highlights of last year's legendary win by India. What pace bowling (as well as spin).

Imran with that wide realease point will never be good against left handers he should bowl to right hander but with this spread feild burns can always take easy single

Poor feild placement

He is the eldest and most experienced one in the attack, and his line/lengths have been the worst, plus he's the slowest of the trio. Most expensive one too.
What experience? Poor guy has played less than 10 tests at international level.

Looks like Australia will score at least 650 with loss of 2-3 wickets before declare the innings. Both Warner and SMith will get 200, Burns 150+.
2nd innings our batsmen will do tuktuking as usual and will get out arod 150.
Both the coach and captains are timid and this type of humiliation is bound to happen

Naseem should take the new ball when we get it. Imran is looking useless and doesn't swing the ball at all.

What experience? Poor guy has played less than 10 tests at international level.

He has been playing First class cricket for a while and is in his mid 30s.

He lacks a cricketing brain. The other pacers have found the right areas now and are hitting them. Imran is all over the place. The pitch isn't doing anything, which is why we aren't getting wickets. All they can do is keep it tight and wait for something to happen. Imran isn't keeping it tight at all.

Don't rate Abbas, but at least he keeps it tight and brings the batsman on the front foot. Joke of a selection to go with Imran ahead of him.

Relative experience, the other two are teenagers... He has almost 100 FC games to work with.

I won’t fault him. Playing at international level is very different from playing domestic. And it’s not his fault that even his fellow fast bowlers are totally inexperienced.

It’s just poor selection overall. And you know who to blame for that. You can’t go with such an inexperienced pace attack to Australia.

Why is Yasir shah being selected for away tours?

He should never have been selected for this tour

Don't rate Abbas, but at least he keeps it tight and brings the batsman on the front foot. Joke of a selection to go with Imran ahead of him.

Exactly. Abbas from one end keeping it tight from one end would form a beautifully symbiotic partnership with someone like Naseem who could be given the licence to knock heads off and push them onto the back foot

This sums up a lot.

ESPNcricinfo commentary: Yasir Shah to Warner, FOUR runs, poor cricket all around. Bad delivery, really, well outside leg stump and spinning away. Warner got down on one knee and clobbered it to fine leg, where the infielder just saw it slip through his fingers, the ball going all the way to the fence
