Day 4 at the Gabba may be a washout

The question is, if Australia enforces the follow-on, will we get to day 4?

Yes but had we batted better we would have got a draw here.

Yes, the conditions were not as miserable as we made them out to be. Should have scored 300+ here, but you need proper batters for it.

From what I've heard, Australia won't enforce the follow on and will look to bat big again and pile up some runs and give Pakistan a formidable target and time to bat.

Hope it gets to day 4.

This could be over on day 3.

Double century from double century scorer is the only chance.

Realistically the game is over and is just a matter of innings defeat or a slightly less embarrassing defeat.

So we can collapse again?

So we can bat during the day. Taking no credit away, Australia couldn't have asked for better bowling conditions to start their bowling innings with massive scoreboard pressure. That said, you still have bowl well to take wickets in these conditions and they did that.

A weaker NZ side wrapped up the match against Pakistan even with a washed out day and Pak wasn't even facing a follow-on either. Unless two days get washed out or Pak batsmen brave it out for two more whole days (lol), this is Australia's game.

Need to regroup in time for the next test. All is not lost as only recently we came back to win the last test against England, despite losing two back to back tests prior to the win.

The guys just need to believe that they are good enough for these conditions and they are. Sydney and Melbourne will be more batter friendly and Shah will come into his own when he has runs to play with.

im with u on this
i want them to enforce it too. hopefully the forecast pushes them to do it.
also i dont want miles in our bowlers legs and then they have another dig at us under lights

Primarily my reasoning. Hope they make that mistake.

For Pakistan sake, we want to see our batter play long innings, atleast one or two... this test is lost, but one hundred 💯 can sparks confidence in dressing room for rest of the series....

It's pitty that we were batting at worse time, second day pitch got yard quickly and more bounce, secondly, we started batting with cloudy evening and than night... in these conditions Auses would not have gotten 300 runs either, they got 90/6 after 3/4 dolly drops...

Question is not only this game, forget about Ausses, can we show it to ourselves that we can bat?? I think in England this summer, way Sami batted in first innings of Edgebastion, lifts us all up, he showed rest of the dressing room how to play in England. I hope Azhar, Babar, Sami, Shafiq somebody show us today, how to bat in GABBA... this can turn the tables.... for that to happen we need little help, we cannot be batting at the worse time, we would like to bat during daytime...I don't want to see us start bat again at worse possible time. 😪😪😪

im more firm in my belief that it is all about lack of prep being the most key thing.
sami and azhar looked comfortable the whole time watched and u will not get more difficult batting conditions on this tour.
lets hope we can score 300 and get belief up again

I think it will be hard tomorrow if there are clouds and rain around.
Junaids, would I be right in assuming tomorrow would be hard to bat?

Going by weather prediction, it would have been a washout if it was a day game. Not much rain predicted from 4pm onwards. So at best they will only lose a session

Bad news, I'm afraid.

I reckon there will be no more than 20 overs lost to rain. The Gabba drains incredibly fast.

I'm not actually going tomorrow.

I just had a lovely chat with Steve Rixon before and during a long elevator ride at the hotel. But only about his time as NZ coach! :)

I'd make a terrible journalist. Can't stay on task!

I can almost bet my bottom dollar it won't be. Since when have Pakistan have had the luck of the weather? Knowing us it'll be the hottest day in Australia.

Either way good thing for Australia they scored so quickly they can take a chance on the final day.

Don't sell yourself short. Someone's been elected the President with a less of a mandate to stay on task and make any sense.

i was at gabba yesterday it was super humid flew back to sydney this morning, one of the most amazing crowd ever, the atmosphere was electric , beside that coming to the point rain will happen in bundles tomorrow, you can never predict proper amount of rain in brisbane as its the coast.
